Don't shoot the messenger, I just got this email and thought it was too funny!

A teacher in Elmira, New York, who is an Obama supporter, asked her 4th grade class, "How many of you are Obama fans?"

Not really knowing what an Obama fan is, but wanting to be liked by the teacher, all the kids raised their hands, except for Little Johnny.

The teacher asked Little Johnny why he decided to be different.

Little Johnny said, "Because I'm not an Obama fan."

The teacher asked, "Why aren't you an Obama fan?"

Johnny said, "Because I'm a conservative ."

The teacher asked him why he's a conservative .

Little Johnny answered, " Well, my Mom's a conservative and my Dad's a conservative, so I'm a conservative."

Annoyed by this answer, the teacher asked, "If your mom was a moron and your dad was an idiot, what would that make you?"

With a big smile, Little Johnny replied, "That would make me an Obama fan."

Not really a fan, but I'd take him over Hillary, she's pure evil!

I think he has good intentions, but the road to you know where is paved with them.

grin I thought so!

Actually it's about the only good political joke I've heard so far. Hillary is too scary to joke about and McCain is too boring!

This may be just a rumor started by those who like to start rumors but I heard it from a friend of a friend who knows someone who once saw the whitehouse from across the street and was sleeping with someone who made deliveries to the kitchen staff who said when the Clintons were in the White house Hillary caused the chief of staff to outlaw the wearing on mini skirts. Seems the rest of the staff were tired of seeing her balls.. laugh

Sorry, I just like picking on Hillary

The thing is, about this kind of joking--it has to do with gender, and it's as offensive as making jokes about someone's race....

You are obviously an intelligent man and logical thinker--explain to me why, when a woman is strong and even powerful she should then be accused of trying to be a man, as I guess that these kind of jokes imply, or that she is a ball breaker, as so many other jokes imply? These jokes suggest that a woman who is tough and agressive is not womanly--that these are only the provinces of men, and that if she is tough or aggressive or strong, she is no longer feminine. That would then apply to me as well and I know I am not unfeminine--I personally would be very offended if someone made these jokes about me simply because I was doing what so many men have done thoughout American history, which is run for president. What does any of this have to do with her qualifications for being president? It demeans and humilates her, and by extension all strong, ambitious women...

No, now you are refusing to be logical. How does making fun of her being a woman have anything to do with her running for president?

Partiea,

I don't take the gender jokes from either direction seriously. And I think Hillary by virtue of her celebrity is more vulnerable than most. I don't really see Hillary as trying to be a man but I don't share your views of her being tough or aggressive either. Personally, I think she's just another politician trying to pull the wool over the publics eyes.

My humor is enjoyed by some and not by others. I think it's safe to say that you didn't enjoy this. Seriously don't like to irritate people but that's just the way I am. I don't look at women as inferior to men or viceversa but I do find humor in making fun of the different. I do believe we have become way to sensitive about such things but that's just me.
