Althea7: I compose songs, write poetry, short stories and such. I strum guitar and sing. Occasionally I perform publically.
That is so cool.
l like to do scrapbooking, doing a scrapbook for each of my daughters from our florida trip to walt disney world this past february. l also love to cook and knit and ceramics.
Amongst other things, I am great cook and baker. I enjoy sewing and can knit scarves or other simple things - but I do it well. I can decorate cakes and design flower arrangements and bouquets. I dabble in painting and charcoal drawing. Friends call upon me for decorating ideas, so I guess I am talented at that. I can do most things that us girls are suppose to do well, and I probably do some things that a girl's not supposed to do well, as well!!

A friend's parents are from Holland, and I've heard some of his Mom's stories from him from the war times. One thing I remember specifically is the "Polar Bear troops" showing up and chasing the German's out.
Love to read more about it.

Yes the Dutch have always shown how grateful they are for the Canadians delivering them from the Germans.
If it had not been for the Canadians many more people would have died.
Around Amsterdam people were eating tulip bulbs and many were one week away from dying of hunger.
If you are in Holland and people find out your Canadian you will still see their gratefulness.
Children keep the acres of Canadian graves clean and tidy.
When the Canadians were guest of the Dutch, for weeks at the time, there would be parades and the Canadians could not believe it when they heard the children say; "thank You"

Acres of wounds, from decomposition which brings fourth fumes;
morticians are adapted to this tragic, yet undeniable ending.
Artificial incantations, a requieum of resuscitation -
To take me back to the damnation;
and cure you of what harmonic despair my inner-child left impaled from make believe, and pretending.
And I apologise for what seemingly over-powered me.
The monolith that is my heart; casting the first stone into that of a derelict bowery.
And at midnight, if forgiven - my needlework shall mend the schism,
created in your heart by my bullet-like incision."

Everyone has their vices.
For the longest time mine was writing, but as I've grown I've gotten into other things.
But these things just stimulate my intellectual/artistic side moreso.
Nevertheless, I know I should lighten up.
