Why do people post pics of themselves with others? I wouldn't be appreciative if someone posted my pic. In some cases it looks, like the guy/gal is still in a couple relationship with the other person (or wishes they were). What do you think, Big turnoff or am I missing something?

Exactly. That's why I'm wondering how anyone could expect to meet someone new if there is someone who looks like a partner in the pic. It makes me think they haven't let go yet. Who wants to get in the middle of that? Not me!

I've noticed those kinds of pics too but I don't like to assume something when it may or not be the case.

It's hard not to make assumptions/impressions. Really, isn't that what we are all trying to do when we post pics is make some kind of an impression, or say something about ourselves? I just think that people who post this way may not realize what others may actually see.

I can think of many reasons. Maybe it's their favorite pic of themselves, the other person could be a son or daughter of the person, maybe they are trying to show how popular or desirable they are by posting a pic with them surrounded by the opposite sex.
One day I expect to see a pic of kissme together with Eric.

Not trying to start anything here, but what's the difference in posting a pic with somebody and posting a cropped pic where there obviously used to be somebody? I mean, I understand that the thought could be "Well, they're not there now." But if I were looking - which, praise God, I'm not - I couldn't help but wonder "Hmmm... How long will it be before I'm the one that gets cut out?"

confused

i think there is a big difference. first, you aren't posting a pic of someone else without their permisssion. and the second is people should expect that you have a past-so cropped is OK. but if the person is still in the pic-it gives the impression they are still in the pic so to speak.

Big turn off. They are suppposed to be looking and their pic shows them with others. Makes me wonder.

Does that also go if the pic is, like mine, one of fellow members on a night out?
