Why do people post pics of themselves with others? I wouldn't be appreciative if someone posted my pic. In some cases it looks, like the guy/gal is still in a couple relationship with the other person (or wishes they were). What do you think, Big turnoff or am I missing something?

I quess each to their own...but as for me i would think they are still in a relationship if i seen a girl/guy
Exactly. That's why I'm wondering how anyone could expect to meet someone new if there is someone who looks like a partner in the pic. It makes me think they haven't let go yet. Who wants to get in the middle of that? Not me!

Nope if they mailed me and i seen that pictures..i would just delete and go no further
It's hard not to make assumptions/impressions. Really, isn't that what we are all trying to do when we post pics is make some kind of an impression, or say something about ourselves? I just think that people who post this way may not realize what others may actually see.

Not trying to start anything here, but what's the difference in posting a pic with somebody and posting a cropped pic where there obviously used to be somebody? I mean, I understand that the thought could be "Well, they're not there now." But if I were looking - which, praise God, I'm not - I couldn't help but wonder "Hmmm... How long will it be before I'm the one that gets cut out?"
i think there is a big difference. first, you aren't posting a pic of someone else without their permisssion. and the second is people should expect that you have a past-so cropped is OK. but if the person is still in the pic-it gives the impression they are still in the pic so to speak.
I wouldnt dream of putting a pic of my chldren up or of anyone with out their consent. The one up at moment was taken at Glasgow meet and I checked with PP about about puting it up.

Big turn off. They are suppposed to be looking and their pic shows them with others. Makes me wonder.
