Nickel sized hail, flooding thunder and lightening.... atleast I did not get as soaked as some others.

Couple of areas had white outs. Only saw one accident on the way home.

Some areas are flooded.

Good news........ I won't have to water the garden tonight. cool

20 mil of water in 1/2 hr. Anyone have a spear boat of life jacket.... it's a bit dangerous for short people falling into puddles.

West end got it bad. West Edmonton Mall was flooded in the same section that was flooded a couple of years ago.

Hope you and your family will be OK. Sewers could not keep up with the water, and on the news it showed cars stranded in areas that got flooded.

For the worst of the down pour I was on the bus, and did not get soaked like so many others. My new umbrella helped.... but not sure if it's a good idea to be holding an umbrella during thunder and lightening.

I wonder if this is what happens when people complain too much about the weather. grin

The sound of the rain on the roof of the bus was relaxing..... just have helped some people relax.... could not hear some one's Ipod music.... Teen agers seemed to be quieter too. smile

Agree with you on watching the rain and not being out in it. I'm always amazed by the many moods of Mother Nature.

Glad you are safe Kitty.

I was going to go outside and work on my truck until the wind picked up and then the rain started shortly after.

Good day to be a procrastinator.laugh

The biggest hail I've ever seen was almost the size of golf balls right here in Alberta. Actually a couple of times, once outside of Cagary and once just north of Edmonton. uh oh

The biggest I ever saw was about 5 years back in northern Saskatchewan a storm came in and the hail was the size of grapefruit, when it come down and hit the lake it was like watching a sifi movie, the water was shooting back up about 4-5 feet in the air. I was lucky enough to be able to catch it on video. About 10-15 minutes after the hail the sun came out and the lake was as calm as glass. Lucky no one in the area was hurt.
