My friend went to visit her niece last evening. They have her sedated & have a trach in her. She said it was so sad to see her that way. She held her hand & told her she has to fight to stay with us. But she said her hand was so limp. And she could see her nieces chest go up & down with the breathing apparatus. Please pray she pulls through this!!
Thanks Claayer. Please just all keep praying as hard as you can! I will be gone for a while. I've taken time off til after 7/4. I hope you all stay well & safe & have a great 4th of July!
Update, if you can really call it one... not much of a change. They had held off on doing the trach, but I guess they were going to do it this past weekend. I'm very worried that with the loss of oxygen this girl has suffered, she'll end up with a brain injury.
I'll let you know any news when I find out. They still have her sedated though, with a feeding tube.

So sad for all of you. Any update on the boyfriend? My Prayers are with you all.

Thanks, that's very much appreciated!! No new news on the boyfriend. I'm assuming they're not investigating until she either passes or gets better. Or at least, not pushing the investigation. Even if they are investigating, they won't tell anyone what's going on.

That is done here also. If they have something --they wait until further notice.

We really don't know what happened. All we know is that she was on or around the tracks with her boyfriend. I'm sure his name's being kept. I'm sure he'll be investigated.

It sounds a lot like my injuries when I was hit by a car. She's young and strong, she'll be ok, but it will be a long road. Will keep her in my prayers.
I'm so sorry! I forgot to update you! She got out of the hospital & is staying with her grandparents during her recovery. Apparently, she's doing pretty well. I haven't heard too much about the investigation though.

not uncommon- it is not a good idea t be on the ventilator through the mouth or nose for a lng time, and the trach will be more comfrtable for her
