There are many types of knowledge, not all knowledge represents truth. Most knowledge is the result of conditioning, it is drilled into us, while true knowledge comes from a desire to obtain it. What begins as desire transcends into aspiration.
what my question to you is can we want something unknown to us ?
Of course we can....it is the cornerstone to being human.....we are inquisitive by nature...

Yes, actually, I would say that all knowledge comes from the desire to know.
kurzita: The more knowledge one accumulates, the more you realise how littel we really know.
That is the sign of intelligence.
I know enough already to realize I know almost nothing of the grand scheme. My goal is to evolve and to escape the limits of mere perceptions. Its the heaven and the hell of it while I'm both the sinner and the saint.

Yes...it's in our nature....there is always a new door of perception waiting to be opened for us....then another and another...we are never content! Those unknown doors whisper at us, beg us to come through, and we have a hard time just staying in the same room of perception for a prolonged time.

The dissection undergone as part of the building of modern rationality in terms of a limitation of human knowledge to the framework of physical senses and utility has also defined the nature of the unknown wished by us: mostly delusion confused with all sort of real contents. Happiness as a steady state is a good example: that is something we do not know but we wish so much as to make us more miserable. That is an example of a human creation which brings only tremendous complication even when one tries to go down and tame the object under analysis.
So just to make it simple, yes we wish all sort of delusional stuff. ...And Buddha advices to stop wishing.
Jose13: I always appreciate your rapport Mr StressFree. Buddha is a benchmark in an endless path, and he just said that disagreement is basic to make you find your own way. In the end you will have to row your boat alone to get to the other side (whatever name this is given). I will comment on some of your points later, especially mindfulness and wishing .....(now just trying to put forward some brainy pieces of my own work while chatting... )
Just about the love subject it is straightforward to say that a little look around nature can tell us that love is everywhere as part of the moving forces of life. The way this force has been set in human life has many edges to examine -many of them with the disilusion brought by human life- , but the true is that the foundations of love are always there. It is up to everyone to discover it and take it for the endless path. AS for that next step of taking it and using it for my own growth is something I know nothing about yet.
Thanks for your reply. I appreciate them as well. Please take your time and add anything to my curious and observing eye. If you ask, you will receive signs and answers. It has always worked for me. The next step will come to you as only how you can ultimately define it. Use the Force my friend, find the intuitive wind and shift it if you can....Can't find it if you don't ask or look

I was wondering and forgot to ask diily, did you mean this in an abstract sense? Cause I know as consumers, we do not want anything that is unknown....
You never gave your perspective on this...I was just curious...
I bumped this thread cause I actually just had this kind of conversation with a good friend back home...and I would not mind seeing other perspectives as well...good thread...
