Aww so glad you able to have a pet at last. My baby rat escaped once took me two days to find him, a fast asleep in peddle bin in the bathroom. I think he was happy to see me in the end lol missed his food

Letting you know...you he's playing hide and seek.....AWWWWWWWEEEEEEEE....That's sooo cute....
I used to have a hamster and a cat....the cat would sit on top of the hamsters cage which had a slide open metal lid until the lid collapsed and the hamster got loose..the odd part is....the cat never touched the hamster when it was loose....many a time I expected to go looking and just find hamster bits laying all over but not once did she touch it...weird....

she hides in the broiler pan in the oven!! I always have to check before I turn the oven on. I usually just let her run loose for a couple of hours before I start looking!!
