It's very cool! In more ways than one - the water coming out of the dam is a constant 42 degrees fahrenheit. Scottishlass did a little wading yesterday and turned blue up to her knees!

Not sure about "tent service" but there are cabins for rent in the same campground - not sure how far in advance they need to be reserved.
Thought that if we decide to do this again next year, we might rent a cabin for the entire weekend, but - like the lovely Jackson pointed out to me - we need to get through this year before we start planning for next year.

Yep, know what you mean! Jackson's idea of "roughing it" is a 2 star motel instead of a 4 star hotel. My idea of roughing it is going out with a blanket and a knife and then leaving the blanket behind.

There are campsites in both areas - We just didn't go far enough into the East Park (where we'll have the picnic) to see the camping areas there.

The lovely Jackson (on right) and the indomitable Scottishlass at the picnic site. Ignore the "No Camping" part - Camping is available a short distance (1/4 mile) away.
Plenty of room for everyone! Ya'll come!!!
And the beautiful Clinch River at the upper canoe ramp, just below the picnic site.
Gonna' be some fun times! Ya'll come an' see us!!!
