Mine was a burger king whopper meal.

Not just any whopper meal but a king size with extra fries.

That is why I left the country, you English guys are pretty hopeless with romance.

I remember one birthday, my ex husband, who is English, got up, I was waiting for a nice romantic card, nothing, we had been married for four years, he dressed, put his tie, on picked up his briefcase, kissed me and our children goodbye, I was mortified, nothing, then I thought there will be a delivery sometime, the day went on and nothing, then I receive a phone call, from him, with a thousand apologies, he had arranged a bouquet of flowers for me, the flowers arrived, with the bill, which I had to pay for.

Typical.

But my American ex, well he knew how to do in style, he was away one valentines day, we were sat in the coffee shop and out he pulled two gorgeous wrapped boxes, because he could not be with me on valentines day.

I love buying gifts for my man, I enjoy it and it fills me with satisfasction.

Burger King indeed,
