I have been married once, I have no burning need to get married again, but I would if I found the right man and we both felt we wanted to do it.
In England, when you live with a person after six months you become 'common law' man and wife.

i live in the uk and yeah thats quite normal ,but i see living with someone the same as marriage ,others dont so id like to know there difference
I once heard a relationship expert say that living with someone without being married could be detrimental tot he relationship for this reason...
When a couple is not married there is no sense of permanence, either party is free to leave at any time. If the couple lives together for a while, and then gets married, then they tend to carry that feeling of impermanence with them into their marriage.
Personally, I feel like courts should make a divorce more difficult to obtain, and sort of force couples to take a look at themselves and how to work on staying together. Broken familes make broken children, and broken children grow up to make broken families.

Well for me, it is about a piece of paper and I suppose you think it protects you, that it is meant to be forever, however divorce statistics show that not to be the case.

I can see that all makes sense, I think there should be less people getting married, therefore there would be less divorces.
People give up too easily, because they know they can, although on saying that, there are many who live together and raise children successfully without being married.
I just do not get the problem that being married causes.

So if it was not working out, you would not divorce him at all?
