Are there any tropical fish hobbyists out there?

What kind of tanks do you have and what sort of fish do you keep?

Thanks for responding.

Your lace cat, is that an African(Synodontis)? I have 2 S. ocellifer,
they are gray with big black dots on them. They're about7 or 8 inches.

I have a 200gal that I keep them in.

It's been so long since I bought him , I truely don't remember what he is. He fools my guest, they all think he is dead, he likes to sleep upside down. He is dark brown with a lacy stripes in his tail.
I used to be more into my hobby and knew all this but these days I don't do much with them. I saw the pic of your tank in your profile, its a nice looking tank. I recently took out most of my decorations, I am into the live plants right now. And rocks were in my way. Those were some very pretty polished rocks too, thats cool. thumbs up

Thanks regarding the polished rocks, that's a new hobby to me.
I've been keeping fish since I was a young teen too.

Yeah if it gets upsidedown then it's most probably a Synodontis.

I have a 75gal. set up neutral to slightly acid for tetras and rainbow
fish that I put sand in the bottom of and is also my live plant tank.

I really like oddball fish especially catfish.

Almost all of my tanks are community(except the breeders), I like a lot of action going on all over the tank.

Have you ever had any fish spawn for you?

I used to keep about everything imaginable for a community fish tank. I had a nice school of cardinal tetras. They were very nice and got to a larger size than I have ever seen them.
I had a couple rams, don't remember there technical names anymore. I had several Black ghost knife fish, which was my favorite fish. I had three angel fish one was a fancy veiltail kind. I had Cory cats and some others. I do need to get my books out and read them again.

I had a friend who had the prettiest plecostomos I have ever seen, it was black with glowing blue eyes, I have never seen one anywheres or I would buy it.

Cardinals are beautiful, no doubt.

A couple years ago I had 2 black ghost knifes in my 200 that got up to about 9 inches but I lost them during the power outage after the tornado passed thru town. They are cool fish, mine would take earthworms out of my hand.

Well I thought I'd cast this out there again!

Anybody interested in the hobby?

Maybe we need a burping fish emoticon?
