Anybody watch the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games?

My country (Scotland) isn't represented, unless you count the participation in the so-called Great Britain team.

My interest in the Olympics is small anyway, apart from possibly the footie.

What really amazed me was the way they played Scottish Bagpipe music quite a lot as the myriad international teams entered the arena. Several quite lengthy passages.

Scotland the Brave was immediately recognisable, as was Will Ye No' Come Back Again? (as well as another well-known piece the name of which escapes me for the minute). Will Ye No' Come Back Again? might have been better suited to the closing ceremony, come to think of it. Maybe they're saving Auld Lang Syne for that.

Can't decide whether to be upset or not!! I mean, what was that all about? very mad confused
