i know how it feels,my dog is 14 years old and u cant imagine how is to wait something to happen to him like checking him everyday is he ok or a live

he used to be a pup
i have loved him always
now he is almost used up
ive had to set a date
his time has come
he'll depart w/ Fatcat-his lifelong chum
even tho i thot id had it sorted
talking to the vet
i just feel-
15 years is a good long time
but its never enuf
and i hate this responsibility of mine
he has been my husband my kid and my friend
Fattys been the bossiest cat- but then
i wouldnt have changed it for a world of gold
why do pets have to get old?

Ignore them, you grieve the way you do because it is most benificial to you. Besides, it shows how much you pet touched your life. You were very lucky to have such a friend in your life.

Animals on the other hand dont let us down that way.
I know is hard to ignore it pet but that person is not worth getting upset over. Why dont they stand up and be counted in the thread instead of kicking you when you are down

I am sorry to hear your sad news about your pet, our dog coby was only with us 6 weeks when john died and he gave the kids great comfort but he was my best friend when he find me crying in the nite, he would nudge my hand with his head as if to say i was not alone, and even to this day if anyone shouts at me or trys to hugs me the dog goes mad crying at me for attention..... I dont know how i would cope without him...

explaining its them and they will always 'get to me'
'whenever they want'
sometimes i feel compassion for them
today im just aghast
ive not met these people personally
