shipoker55: Forums don't tell you *anything* about a person who posts a lot?? Really??[/quote
No...I don't think so! Why are so many disappointed when they finally meet after getting to know each other in the forums?? I am VERY sure, anyone would be shocked to know the real me, after all I have posted in these forums over two years. You see only what I show. But I am a ver private person. And I am sure there are many many more like me. Who present what protects them from people who prey.
Well. you've told us a lot of personal information about your life - your history, your likes - and have just added more above.
Should we then not believe anything you've told us, or treat all this information as worthless??
hollandgirl: Yes I have/am learning a lot just from reading on the forum here. Some very positive reactions others very negative. Like; now that I read this.........no way would I want that person to be in My life. Yes this forum is very informative, especially when looking for my next mate. Yes much better then a picture.
I find the forums to be amusing, not necessarily to find out about what someone is like. I don't prejudge, nor do I make hasty decisions on someone from what they've said or stated while in a public area, where there are people having a conversation. to maintin the conversation folks may say things out of the ordinary, so for me, there is nothing like a nice CURRENT photo to get me interested, followed by a good verbal profile, and then a ONE ON ONE. Now, thats getting to know someone.
Claayer: Yep Hellloooooo Also I think sometimes you can read between the lines a little.
and I think I do know you fairly well Ship.. mostly because you are soooooo like ME... and I recognize it even in little things you say sometimes.
Well people give out info about themselves without even realizing it...it may not be specifics...but thoughts on things...reactions...speaking out or not....humour those types of things for sure....are things which we aren't always conscious of!!!!!!!!!

somechick: I agree with your post.If I ever said what I really felt on here I'd be banned from this site and probably from the internet for good. Sometimes I just sit back and jsut read rather then get into a stupid arguement that most likely didn't amount to a hill of beans anyway so why should I take things all that personal.
The saying about how a picture says a thousand words isn't always the case.
Just like my father used to say...If something/someone sounds to good to be true they probably are."
Me too.. but thats the way I am in RL too.. just depends how much it pisses me off enough to say something.

When I have met with people they do not have to get "used" to me. They recognize me from what I have portrayed about myself from the beginning. So some of you do believe in playing games or head games whatever. With me what you see/read is totally me. No surprise there.
Sorry to say this has not been so the other way around. Guy says he is 5/7 We meet he is 5/2 lol you thought I would not notice? Well I did not think you would care when you met me. I may not have guy just now wonder what else you lied about. Get my drift.
I must say that most the time I am simply being myself. But also as mentioned already by another, is I too, sit back and bite my tongue persay sometimes for the same reason, not worth arguing. We are all here to find some sort of relationship whether it is people to chat with or more. Talking to people online, you should already have an idea what you are getting yourself into. A little bit of everything. Liars, users, sincerity, and honest people. I think the only way to truely know someone is away from the internet.

I am on this forum to find my new love. May have done so already but we have not met yet, but will do so soon.
If this meeting turns out to be another frog, are you telling me to find a honest trustworthy person on here, is just not reality and I am wasting my time on here?

I believe I have made my stance clear on many occasions. I have said don't take anything I say seriously. I am here for the laughs. When I am serious, I let people know.
You really can't judge by what people post,,,for example I joke around a lot, maybe to much for my own good on here because I have had not one date..But I know I'm honest.
