ali was a good boxer...and a good self promoter but, national hero would be stretching a bit toooooo far
......there is an american hero though. from WWII...his name was audy murphy...murphy's patallion was captured by a german patalion...murphy, single handedly, rescued his patalion AND captured the same patalion of german soldiers...he would go o0n to have a movie carrier afterwards but, no movie could hold up to what he actually had done in real life.......

did you ever see any of his films ?...i don't know why he chose to become an actor at such a young age ?
in saw him in a couple of cowboy films and that was it man ! how many soldier hero's turn celebrites did america have ? and why have you got to be a soldier before you can be proclaimed a national heroe in america ?

' thread which got me thinking about who some other national hero's are that may don't get recondnised in the way that they should .......here's what he said about Ali
