Someone sent me this video, I´v posted it on the video section here for anyone that hasn´t seen it. I don´t watch television and it was only because someone sent it to me via the internet that I´v seen it and yes, I´m such a sap that I had a good cry when I watched it.
I guess it was quite a big deal, on lots of the talk shows and interviews with the people involved 30 years later.
My question is... are there so few emotionally touching stories in our time that we´re reaching back 30 years for inspiration, or is it just such an unusual story that makes it special even now?

Thank you so much for posting the video. I am crying my eyes out.
My dog Casey use to greet me like that...if I was gone for 5 minutes, or 5 days. The greeting was the same...she passed away this past April and I miss her dearly.

Christian's story is beautiful.
I´m glad I´m not the only sap!!!!
I am sorry about Casey... so many people don´t seem to realize how important a pet can be... talk about unconditional love!
jbibiza: Well you need to watch the entire film. There is alot more to it then what was shown on the very short clip. The pride was created from orphan cubs but managed to survive in the wild, one of the lions used to help to socialize Christian into the wild was Boy from Born Free, unfortunately during this process Boy attacked and killed a human and had to be shot. So even though these lions had been handled by humans they are still wild animals and the reunion between the men and the lion was beautiful you cynical old thing you!
thats me...cynical to the last drop.. ....well, your tell of the story makes a little more since...now i understand ....i thaught the story was just what the short video had said. AND the video DID say ''christian'' EVEN introduced his wife ...im sorry...i did'nt know there was more to it......i was thinking you had lost your mind
