Yep that happens because there are givers and there are takers....Sometimes though we have to find a balance when we are givers so it doesn't turn into a situation where we get taken advantage of or taken for granted...I am a giver so I know how hard it is...but that balance is important in knowing when to continue to give and when you have given enough without much in return....and then it's time to walk away!!!!!!!!

Dont let them get you down..

That would be your main problem, if you really mean that. It doesn't matter what we do for others, if we don't like ourselves, no one else is going to. You're going to get the people who take advantage of you, cause they can see you don't care who walks all over you. No one else will care about you if you don't care about yourself.
A real friend will do things for others without expecting anything in return, and will usually have it returned in kind. People who expect it are resented for their good deeds a lot of times. We all have to check our motivations for helping out others, are we really doing it cause we want to help, or are we looking for the reward?
Just a thought, don't know if it applies to you or not, I don't know you that well.
