sadly in this country, if you live together, you never have the same rights as people who are married, especially if one partner dies. in 2008, there still is so much unfairness displayed towards couples who decide to live together. doh

I would never marry again. After such a volotile marriage I had, I don't think I would ever live with anyone either.

I made such a bad judgement on my last partner (ex hubby) I don't think I could trust my judgement again. I have 3 kids and is no way I will ever subject them to that kind of enviroment again. I was a crap mum back then for letting them even hear the slightest slap thier mom received. Least I can do now is make sure the rest of thier childhood is happy!!

I am just greatful that the chap I am in touch with right now for over a yr and have met and am due to meet again in matter of days, totally understands me, my views and feelings!

Thank you. I was not looking for sympathy, if anything living through what I did, has made me stronger and ironically enough, more confident (Obviously not at the time!) lol

And so long as this chap doesn't want anything more from me than the odd meeting and dinner and...... lol And does not want to get too serious with me, everything will be just great between us!

I wish you lots of luck in your quest for happiness too.

handshake Jo

Out of bad experiences comes strength. Trust your instinct which is even stronger now. You'll be able to read people better having been through that ugly experience. You also have more confidence than before, so you'll put up with less crap from men. giggle.

I met my wife at school and we married at 23 and had 2 wonderful kids and were blissfully happy but sadly in 1998 she was diagnosed with cancer and she died in my arms just a few months later. 10 years on and I would marry tomorrow but finding a women who is interested in me as a person and not what I have (which is nothing , except my sanity) is proving impossible.
