Hi,
which movies do you think are good adaptation of the book, which are worst than books and which are better than movie.

I read and watch 'Forest Gump' movie is verry diffrent from book. I like both of them.

'Fried Green Tomatoes' - book is great (I like Fannie Flag) but I don't like movie.

Still thinking about good adaptation consistent with novel.

To Kill A Mockingbird was great as both a book and a movie. That was my favourite.

The Worst for me:

The Da Vinci Code

Probably one of the best adaptations....

The Lord of the Rings... even though there was loads of stuff missing that was in the 3 books

The book is awesome; I've read it 3 times. It was one of the books we got to read in high school, along with Of Mice and Men, The Great Gatsby, and Pride and Prejudice. I loved them all, but To Kill A Mockingbird was my favourite. thumbs up

Pride and Prejudice.
Bride and Prejudice was a little disappointing, although the director's first film (no book I think) Bend It Like Beckham was outstanding.

Harry Potters movies are good.
I watched King of the Ring but I didn't read trilogy. Too many fantasy characters for me. I lost myself in this story: elves, dwarfs, etc like in telephone book. :) I like movie.

I like 'The Hobbit or There and Back Again' and I'm waiting for the movie.

The book is very good.... problem with the Da Vinci Code... its the second novel about Dr Robert Langdon...

I understand Angels & Demon's movie is released later this year...Again a very good yarn... but I'll still end up going to watch it

I tried to get into the Harry Potter books.... couldn't get into them...

I agree the films are very good.. but like I say I have never read any of the books

The Hobbit.... is the next movie that Peter Jackson is looking a making... if the Lord of the Rings movies are anything to go about it will be awesome

The acclaimed Touching the Void has to be one
of the best adaptations. A gripping film from
start to finish. Unusually, more so than the
book.thumbs up

To Kill A Mockingbird

A Streetcar Named Desire

These were in the days when the films didn't take the liberties to distort the original writer's intent

Hello,
I got it, unfortunatelly the worst adaptation I ever seen - Doctor Doolitle with Eddy Murphy.
Books are great, movie not so bad but screesnplays have nothing common with books.
