Not everyone lies on their profile, and not everyone is a scammer. If you're constantly looking for it, that's what you'll find. Being suspicious of everyone isn't a good policy and is no way to meet anyone.

Anyone can be anything in cyberspace.I have heard from good people of stories when they met other gender,had been lied too so I see Hollands point.Also have met people from sites who were as they wrote.I just say I'm real,if you don't like me,your choice.

We walk 200 yards and he tells me that he can't go on. He needs to rest.

I hear ya sister. As someone who has actually met online people in person (though not from this site) I feel your pain.
I don't know why so many people lie but they do but its usually vanity stuff like age/height/weight. I haven't found that means they will necessarily lie about bigger things. And online is the same as real life in that you have to meet many people to find the few you click with. For some reason people think that being online means you don't have to go through the same process as in real life of meeting and getting to know someone. I think its worth the process because you will end up with some true friends and possibly a great relationship. I know I have on both counts. So, chin up, shoulders back and fight the good fight. 
And if the poor guy is 8 or 9 inches shorter than his profile, well, maybe you can wear his shirts so its all good.

I have been here since February, one scam, delete and report it, but not a direct target, just one of those random scammers.
