where would you go, and when would you leave?

I'd be sitting on a boat in the Dominican Republic fishing for whatever came out of the water. Drinking Corona's chased down with tequila, or is it the other way around? who cares, I'm living the dream!.

Hi,Mike.
I occasionally have the pleasure of watching that beautiful aircraft, the Spitfire, from my caravan near Rhyl,in North Wales.
I don't know if it has the original Merlin engine, but the sound of it is unmistakable, and everyone stops to watch, and admire it.
A couple of weeks ago, there was a display by the Red Arrows. Superb!
Someone told me it is privately owned, and based at Sealand.(the Spitfire, that is)
PS-: You are not going to tell me it is a Hurricane, now, are you? Hahaha!

The answer to your last bit is No - of course not. If it sounded like it was MERLIN LUMP, had eliptical wings and was not built like a bloody tank it WAS a Spitfire laugh seriously - The old Hurry battle platform was a lovely old lady too in a different way. laugh

If you can't tell me the letters or its registration number I would not be able to tell you its Mark

If you want to see the loactions of all the UK based Spitfires,
Here is the URL to take shufti at and I have loads of books including the Pilots notes on the Mk 5 and the Merlin Manuals plus 1/2 scale drawings of the Griffon supplied to me FOC by Rolls Royce.

The Spit and Lightning are my personal favourite aircraft of all time closely followed by the Stearman and the old DH Dominie (Dragon Rapide)

Regards
Mike Dennis angel - Nearest thing on here to Wings so thats wot I will use

Hi,Mike. You sound a bit of an aero enthusiast.
Of course,i was only joking about confusing the Spit with a Hurry. As you say,you only have to see the eliptical wings,to know it is a Spit.
It was just that i have been confusing everything else, lately!

If money was no option...

I'd buy houses in the most expensive Cities in the world, buy the flashest cars, clothes accessories etc... I'd have some mega fit page 3 type hanging off my arm ready to tend to my every need..

Oh and I'd fulfill my dream! I'd buy Everton FC.

A view to die for my friend.wow

But on second thoughts, if money were really no object.

I guess, Everest base camp, waiting for a 'weather window'

would be my first choice.

Your talking about mega bucks there though.sigh
