WhatUwish4: I'm sure our enemies love Obama's plan to cut our military budget and strength by the billions...

Geezus, they decimate the military and then try to tell us someone else will f*ck it up.

Even their women have balls.

thumbs down

Where in the world do you get this BS. Bubba Clinton decimated our Armed Forces. Otherwise we would have had no problem fighting on two fronts or more. Look at our military numbers back when GHWB was POTUS.

Since you're a right-winger it's safe to say he didn't say anything even close to that, did he?

This is from CNN...

YouTube clip from last October that features Obama promising the non-profit group “Caucus for Priorities” that he would reduce wasteful military spending.

“I will cut tens of billions of dollars in wasteful spending,” Obama said in the video. “I will cut investments in unproven missile defense systems. I will not weaponize space. I will slow our development of future combat systems.”

In the video, Obama also said: “As president, my sole priority for defense spending will be protecting the American people.”

...Of course, now that this is no longer popular and he is catching heat...he has reversed his position....

Obama, now the Democratic nominee, was asked on ABC’s “This Week” on Sunday to cite examples of where he would be willing to break with his own party.

“I’ve said that we need to increase the size of our military,” Obama answered, noting that such legislation might anger some on the left.
McCain, who claimed in his remarks that the world is simply too dangerous to reduce military spending, said Obama is guilty of general election pandering.

“Sen. Obama told the extreme left what they wanted to hear during the primary, now he’s trying to tell you what he thinks you want to hear,” McCain responded in Missouri. “My friends, you may not always agree with me but you will always know where I stand.”

I voted for the war, before I voted against it..... doh

Indyfella: So it's really nothing to do with almost 4,000 Americans dying on 9/11......it's about selling marguaritas for $10.00 a pop in Malta.

When the pop being sold equates to the lively hood of a chunk of people it takes another flavour.....

and it really is not the comparison of the examples at hand really....

it is about the illusion that American interests are the first, the utmost and the only that prevail in any and all decisions of this planet.

I also am a Libetarian, however saying this,I received from a friend a letter from a man who lives in alaska. He is a everyday joe,but had this to say abou Paulin.I am paraprhrasing now.She worked hard as Govenor, not to be popular but to see jusice was done.Againist the the recommendations of many high office people for her state, she fired a man in high position in StateTrooper office. He was caugh driving drunk on more than 1 occasion and also found to be corrupt in office. She dug away, got the dirt, and out he went. She spent time with the people at rallys and fund raisers including this man who she served he and his child an ice cream cone. She suprised him, taking time to genuinly talk and listen to him.She did much to get dirty politicians out of office and was seen as a good, concerned person and great Govenor. This was all before she ever knew she would 1 day be in the spotlight as a running canidate for Vice-President.All in all,I was moved by what I read. This story will never make big news,or any news because it was a democrate average everyday person who wrote to a friend and I happen to know the friend also.It is too bad she isn't running for President.peace

I would like to see an "everyday joe" in the white house. I do believe they can relate to the common man...(or woman). I think she can keep McCain in check too. applause

Nice post H L... Hopefully the Clinton people don't act like sheep, they need to vote for the more experienced and more qualified person to go into the White House, just like Miss Clinton was...

I can't believe i'm even responding to this.

What your post suggests is "Media Perception, Projected onto stupid people, is very effective."

It's so old. We see it every four years.

ANyone who saw both conventions saw the difference. Don't treat me like a child because i'm all grown up.

Americans are not monkeys. We are not attracted to shiny objects. We're more intelligent than that.

Constitutionally, the U.S. government's first obilgation is to protect it's citizens. There's a lot of ways to view the world situation. We didn't bomb our own ship (USS Cole), the Twin Tower's twice, etc. This war on radical islam should have been addressed before 2001. Probably wouldn't have hurt if the world community had taken it serioiusly too.

I beg to differ. I have heard so many women say they are voting for Obama just because they think he is good looking. Not to mention others still who say they are voting for him simply because he's black. Now I ask you, just how intelligent are these people. Now that may not qualify as being shiny, but it amounts to the same thing.
