From what I have seen so far and know from people from the UK ( here in Thanet) who have emigrated there and come back here to visit, all normally behaved people regardlkess of age are welcomed and treated much better than in the UK and the indigenous general education is unarguably better than here. They are taught English and Swahili from primary school as well as being able to their tribal languages, of which, there are 42.
It is getting much worse to live here especially as one gets older with taxes etc so I think - Kenya - and if I were to live there - around Nairobi, Karo Mouru (near Mount Kenya) Malindi or Mombassa. Everyone I know who has been there on a holiday contemplates selling upand living there. So much so they book up year by year at the same hotels in advance and sometimes go twice a year.
I am going there next year for the first time and will be able to make an even more informed assessment then.
I love living in England, not that Ive ever lived out of it - I would love to live somewhere warmer though but all my family and most people I know would have to be there as well
yes i agree and the grass isnt always greener, when you decide to change things,im still trying to fathom out which country mike thinks is best,at first i thought he was talking about the u.s. now i dont think so

May I respectfully suggest that you read all I said - The second paragraph indicates my choice in the first sentence
USA - NOT on your life. The CIA would not let me in there as I got a life ban from playing American football gained proudly when I was 19 and in the RAF - It went as far as the Pentagon because it was GBH against a serving member the USAF - They refiused after that to paly us at Rugby which they had agreed to before we polayed them at AF so they proved bloody cowards without wearing any grid Iron crap.
Some great choices here so far. I guess it all depends on your priorities in life.
New Zealand would probably be the safest country in the world in the event of a nuclear war.
Italy has probably the most attractive collection of villages, towns and cities.
The USA has the best service culture in the world.
Tropical countries with uplands like Kenya would have great all-year round climates.
The UK and Ireland has the best pub culture in the world.
Andorra, Macau and Japan have the highest life expectancy.
The Vatican City, Yemen, Singapore, Switzerland have very low crime rates.
Overall, the place that I like the best in the world is what I call the "Golden Rectangle" Southern France extending over to Austria via Monaco, Switzerland, Southern Germany, Northern Italy, Licthenstein. This includes: great wine regions, tax havens, great restaurants, great culture, historic cities, the Alps, Mediteranean beaches, industrial and finance centres, good climate, freedom of movement, low crime rates, low levels of corruption, high life expectancy... But then Aus, NZ and USA offer most of these too and they're English Speaking...
Beautiful country New Zealand-know quite a few who have taken the dive and emigrated there-but regarding its crime rate-t'aint no paradise-especially drink driving!-lots of that over there!.
The only other thing i have gathered is that New Zealand is attracting lots of migrants very fast from all corners of the world-and do the locals welcome all these immigrants?-Err-No!.
