I am beginning to believe we meet people in our life for a reason. I havent felt this so strongly before but i do think there is a reason behind having some real important people in our lives. It neednt necessarily be permanent but there is always a purpose for both.

Nope .. the soul is complete in itself. We wander looknig for something which we think we need or we dont have but in reality its all there within us .. we look for the right person to evolve in to the next stage spiritually by sharing and learning ..

Each person who walks in to our life to share a part of him or her becomes an important part of our existence in this life .. what many would call a karmic connection. But we have to move on for the doul to fulfil the purpose of its presence that is if we know what our purpose is ( altogether another story )

riyablossom: Soul.

I think you are correct, Riya. I have always felt we are put in contact with others for a reason. This is very thought provoking Thank-you.

Galactic_bodhi: I believe people share karma. Some people make what is known as a karmic contract from life to life, and this explains this feeling people get of completion. But I agree with dawn. We can be complete within ourselves, we just have to get over these attachments that haunt us for no real good reason other than energy cant be destroyed.

GB, we share a lot of the same beliefs...to a point.

Yes, I agree with GB above on shared karma and the karmic contract. These people are also your parents, siblings and lifelong friends (if you have those, this is why), not just your spouse(s).

To make a long story short, accepting that I had this with my late husband, and what the reasons were for the timing that gave us such a short time in this life, was a big part of helping me onto the road to healing from the loss. We'll see each other again next time.

However, I also believe that you can have more than one of these.

We are complete within ourselves, though...I don't need someone to "complete" me, so much as I desire a partner who complements me (no, not flatters)...someone to share life with as a partner because humans aren't designed to be alone.

I agree with you, too.

But person whit which we share our life can be “affinity” to us or not. With first one, we can understand each other without words; with another one sometimes we should “draw” our words to explain it.

Life seems easier and nicer with “affinity” person.
