well i have only visited canada in August ....very beautiful I loved it ......your gorges and rivers and mountains are awesome ..they are on a much grander scale than here and the weather was great ..too hot in fact ....LOL ..but i do have a firend who emigrated to PEI and though he says its amazing he complains that he cant cope with the weather ..apparently every so often he has to dig himself out of the house ..........

The maratime provinces (east coast) do get a lot of snow, more than we do here out west on the praries, but they don't seem to get the extreme cold we do.
Sounds like you were in BC. Very beautiful part of the country, and where I'm moving....hopefully soon.

Morrocco! Cheap and very interesting. Don´t forget to "inadvertently" leave a 10 euro note in your passport at the frontier.Saves hours of red tape.
Essaouira is pretty westernised,Marrakesh is amazing and there are still places with no electricity where you can buy fresh fish off the harbour and eat by candlelight.
Music is stunning too if you find the real deal.

#2 It's not too far from your good self. I think you're in Plovdiv, right? So that's not too far.
