No. I know many believers that run to the church when they feel miserable or in danger ( and need to pray for a favor) and right after that go back to their job to slaughter other people (whom, they consider, do not have the favor of God). Very old picture, for sure.

Not necessarily.... some bible quoting types have little goodness in their heart.. you will know a person who has Christ(God) in their heart as you will know them by their fruits... in fact... even Satan believes in God.. is not enough to simply believe in God... though if one has an open heart and mind and is open to learning... believing in God can be a very important step towards salvation...

Admitting to being a sinner means you believe in a God or higher being so I've not sinned but made alot of mistakes in my life and not always done the right things.

i believe a higher power is out there.
but i do not believe the majority of whats in the bible.
you gotta think, the bible wasnt written in english.
its been translated from language to language to language...
and who knows how many times its been translated.
i was watching a show on the discovery channel, not too long ago actually.
and they were talking about our so called "angels"
and how we picture an angel as a beautiful spirt with wings and halo and all that jazz.
well they followed the term angel back a ways.
they say this is how it went...
"creatures of the sky--> creatures who fly--> creatures with wings"
thus, we have that angel we all picture.
but in my thinking... we are all doubting "aliens"
well, could our "angels" not be "aliens?"
just a thought i suppose...

(spirit) is from God. God gave us free will to also create and make
our own choices. Through our choices we have made mistakes over
and over which provided us with mistaken beliefs and concepts. Being
given free will and being creators, as well, we have created this
world of illusion which illustrates our mistaken beliefs. We have not
sinned because -- all of this is not real, anyway. God loves us and
always will - forever. I believe God would like us to recognize our
mistaken perception so we would realize that there is nothing to fear,
no pain, we have no real enemies. The illusion seems too real because
