phoenix: I've been on CS for a few weeks and every day there are threads and posts slagging off your country..even by Americans..Go back and read the words..
I know it's a country song..read the words..
It's a nice song and I agree...each country has it's own things to be proud of...even if we don't see it!!!!!!!!

I have been as well as other Americans have been brow beat over what our government has done, I NEED to see a little humour. The song is very true and is very deep and I do love it, I have sang it many times and I get mad every time somebody bashes us as Americans instead of aiming it right at the government like it should be. I am not making fun of what you put up there, it was more like a laugh of what used to be, you see, I also see so many Americans putting our country down too. I love my country but to get on your thread and start defending her against so many that are against her, how can I? there is way too much hatred for my country AND my countrymen/countrywomen. THAT IS A FACT
On a lighter note? I thank you very much for putting that up.tR

Exactly...I think people forget that the people and government of a country are two different things...

Awww Thats very nice of you really, the sad part is is I am getting used to it, the bashing. There is nothing I can do about my government and there is nothing I can do about people not liking my country so I don't even go there on forums any longer about defense, it does no good. People will not see us as Individual Americans living a hard life as well as other countries all they see is what our government does. Hey, we can all hope it get's better, that is something everybody has in common with everybody else, hope, and it's free. Thank you for the nice thread
mindfful: arlene thats a daredevil practice youve got going there
i think those that conceived and originally governed had some ideas that are now seen as idealistic and that makes me sad
people even children are hungry basic needs not being met
i know there are many varied reasons that are factors but gee it is so sad
i figger this is a very young country so there is hope
keep hope alive
A very young country with old ideals, and it is scary. One in four children go hungry here, one in five adults go hungry here, yea nothing is effecting us eh? unemployment is up higher than we have seen it in a while, the money we loaned get that?---> loaned the institutions? will only be put into the debt pile, even after we loan it to them, egadds, it is like a nightmare that won't end. And I for one don't think any runner has a chance at pulling us out of this. We were in a recession back in '99, greenspan came on and said so, then not two days later he reiterates and says "no, it was a mistake me saying that" wonder who changed his mind our economy sucks, and the sad part is I don't know if anything can pull us out before we hit bottom.
