I tend to avoid them as it is a dead end. perhaps I should've worded my post better as it was actually a serious question. it seems these days that people view god as some kind of relationship councillor. a cuddly father figure if you like. this is entirely at odds with the god depicted in the old testament. many of them call themselves, "saved." somehow i'd think that the god in the old testament would be less than happy with that.

A very good start. So let us go on. We do not argue with unbelievers, we talk and communicate with unbelievers. We listen first, then we listen again. We think first and then think again. Then we see and see again. And when we think we have heard it all, seen all, understood all, we start thinking. Before saying anything we then consider that what we are going to say is not going to hurt anyone, it is not going to be misunderstood. And before we let any thought flow through our mouth we make sure that the force that is pushing those words is LOVE, that they meant to bear LOVE, and that where those words are going to land are going to find LOVE.
If only God were to grant us this ability and wisdom, the unbelievers will first listen, then listen again. Then they will see and see again and by the time they would say anything, their hearts would be so full of love that they will unfailingly start searching for and find God.
Then they will listen and listen again to God, then they will see and see again God, and when they think they found God they will think again that they too can give LOVE to others, their and our NEIGHBOUR.

oh yes i have listened very closly i was a belever..but people like to talk out of both sides of there mouth...but when someone is in need there is no one around to help...but i will say one thing people beleve what they want and there is nothing to stop them.
so all i can say IF you do beleve in god all the best to you ...
but i dont anymore and have not for 20 years
