Should I bother filling out my profile and putting up some pictures? I don't want to bother if there isn't one person here who is looking for a long distance relationship.

i will fill out my profile and put some pics up as soon as i know theres a possibility that there are long distance relationship seekers here! This is what i want and i won't settle for less!

yes go for it as a friend of mine met up with thier long distance relationship. It's something I've gone for, I'm still in the talking stages with a girl in australia. And thats distance.LOL

Well seeing this is an international forum you're more likely to meet someone long-distance than local...so it's really all about chance...there are several people here already in long-distance relationships from here...but you're not gonna get someone popping on a thread and have an instant long-distance relationship with that person...it just doesn't work that way!!!!

The site is free, and you are welcome here. If you participate in the forums, you're bound to meet lots of people and there have been many success stories on here. In two weeks I've heard of 7. Give it a chance, and relax and have fun...you just don't know what might happen!

And you certainly shouldn't settle for something different than what you want...yet you might find someone else just like you in the need for space department without it having to be long distance. (Aquariuses would be my suggestion.)

Good luck, and welcome to CS. Have a seat and stay a while. People are on here from all over the world, and you can't get what you want by stamping your feet. The type of relationship you want takes time to build up the trust.

I realize that of course. I'm not announcing "hey come date me!" I'm asking people who are open to the idea to post in here so i can get to know people who are open minded about this idea. some sites i've found don't seem to have too many open minded people. i would like to get to know everyone who is open minded and i can hope that i might connect with someone but i know that is not a guarantee.

Most people on the site, don't post on forums at all! I suggest you read their profiles, that should give you an idea on who wants what kind of relationship.

Well...that's what your profile is for...you state that on your profile and then hope only men contact you that are interested in a long-distance relationship...I say hope...because there are some who don't bother to read your profile before they contact you...anyway...it sort of boils down to a weeding out process by you...so if you don't fill out your profile and put a pic up...then I guess you'll never know...that's sort of the idea and it can take quite awhile to find the right person....

Well, if you're looking for open-minded people, and those who are open to many different things, you've come to the right place. I've belonged to many sites, and I would say that your chances are better here than anywhere else. There are people on here from all over the world...and if nothing else, you're also likely to make some friends along the way. I would say it's worth it. "Nothing ventured, nothing gained"...and the price is right (free).

Not everyone is willing/able to right away anounce they want to have
a long term relationship.
Some may just want to date at first but this could very well turn into a lot more.
