with an example where there is no mathematical solution possible.
What do you think?
Scenario is this:
3 men rent a room costing $40
However the caretaker charges them $20 each so $60.
But then he feels guilty and gives each man back $5
So he gave back $15 and he keeps $5 for himself.
Now the men after getting back $5 each really paid
$45 for the room plus the $5 kept by the caretaker is only $50.
BUT the caretaker started with $60.
So where is the missing $10?
Who has it and where did it go????
