Dusty45: Trish, I like you and respect you, but please don't
make assumptions about what I think and whether
those thoughts are fallible or not. You couldn't
possibly know. Where is the kindness in your hearts?

Nothing personal of course Dusty but the prevalence of folk using the published works of others for their own purposes has taken my attention of late - just thought I would mention it wave

I would venture to guess that a very high majority of
people here have contributed material that is not entirely
of their original independent minds but taken from the vastness of the universe as well. You know as well as I do of that fact.
We have both borrowed. The idea is to share our thoughts but
why does it have to cause conflict if both the object of our
goal is to have unity? Let's try to care and understand one
another without hurting the other.

Why do these debates remind me of the Hughes Mearns poem?

As I was walking up the stair
I met a man who wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today.
I wish, I wish he'd stay away.

Yes, but few actually use famous authors to their own ends - such as have profilated of late - at least I put my heart and soul, my own self on the line and do not depend on the musings of others to reinforce my spirituality - I have no such need of false reinforcements - yes, i quote, and sometimes extensively - but I do not plaigiarise the beliefs of others to emulate my own - no way - no how .......... thats lowdown.........

Revenge is for fools and the insane. Is it ever worth
the cost?

Good luck, Trish.

In response to: Im a guy who is big on Christianity. I love Christ with all my heart because he has taken me and my twin brother and close friends out of multiple addictions including cocaine and meth.

Im looking for a girl who has the same love of God that i have and is willing to show that.

If you love Christ i would love to talk to you

thank you & God Bless,

Brad

Thanks Brad and the rest of you that are believers,
I am a Christian and a believer in our Lord, Jesus Christ. I have seen his miracles work in my own and others lives. I am looking much for the same that you are. Good Luck to everyone here.

No doubt. I am sometimes annoyed that it is automatically implied that we must assume it is the god of the bible. There are quite a few more on the market. Goddesses also.

How $much are your Gods going for? giggle

Mine is priceless, available to all, has enough Love
to go around for an eternity--sans judgment, speaks
Truth, always giving when something is asked of this
precious essence depending on the value of what is
asked but is always a win, win situation. The only
requirement is to believe and realize we reap what
we sow. Win, win because this 'Divine Essence' is
always Creating for the greater good. There is no
need to explain or to justify a belief in the Holy
Spirit designed through God because there is a
'knowing' that is indescribable about this awesome
power and it matters not to the Spirit to justify it.
There is no recognition of the Ego to the Spirit.

Such is real Life.

Well seriously it predates monotheism by thousands of years. Goddess worship extends as far back as the Neolithic. It makes sense of course as women are associated with birth and creation. The premise behind a singular male deity that gives birth would come much later in history.
