I checked some profiles and emailed their owners. But I have not received yet any reply. If I do not get any reply, i.e. none is interested in writing to me, then it is one of two things. Either I’m not interesting enough, or the whole thing is gimmicks.
The reason I’m looking for a girl-friend over the Internet is that my relationship with my wife has gone sour. And in Bielefeld, a kind of province, it is extremely difficult to get to know people.
What do you think?

Welcome and don t worry about people taking their time to answer. I do not come in everyday either. My stepfather is from Westfalen and my mother from Bad Iburg/Osnabrück. If this site is serious????? Well, I have been laughing so very much in many forum posts that I seriously enjoy it when I ve nothing better to do. As to dating, I be seeing someone on Friday here in town, I met here on CS. Hope that is serious enough for you

Gracias por tu comentario. Así que tu madre es de Osnarück. No es lejos de donde vivo, en Bielefeld. En Valencia estaba varias veces cuando estudiaba filología española a la universidad Complutense in Madrid entre 1970 hasta 1975. Por eso hablo español. Pero hace mucho tiempo que no lo he hablado. Es verdad, algunos postos en el forum son graciosos. Ademas quizas encuentra uno la persona exacta como amiga o amigo.

lanabyte: Welcome to CS. Everyone here has given good advice. I just want to add something my Grandma told me (she was a very smart lady). Don't expect others to bring you happiness, you must find it yourself. I know we all feel happier with a significant other in our lives. But who wants to start dating someone who describes themselves as unhappy? Be a happy, whole person first, then you have more to share with someone special. I know, easier said that done. Good luck!
Your grandma is right. One must be active in terms of happiness. But as you say, it is "easier said that done". We humans are vulnerable to things that make us unhappy. They occur uninvited, regardless how much you try to avoid them. That does not mean that I'm unhappy all the time. When I succeed I feel happy. When I see my pieces published by the Jerusalem Post, for example, I also feel happy. If you wish, you can check out the following:

Hiya it is a serious site tho it is also good for the forums, so some are just here for that.... I agree also the that best time to start a new relationship is when the old one is over... if youa are still in the other one it could be an indication that there is still hope (for the relationship that is)
