rolling on the floor laughing I have no idea what you are thinking about innocent

But it is funny how many pay-sites there are when CS exists confused

Maybe paying looks more serious to some, if the payment are monthly for the ad and not hourly for the companion...laugh

Still, if you tell me I chould check out the next client I would be at loss. I dont know to run the phone tab, the codes from the bar and how to decode the main information of number of nights conversing

I did work in a hotel when I attended the first university. No way I remember all those details today.

We learn and then we act on it. Sure it is a profession or you would not get paid to do it.

Catering is a profession.

Any trade is a profession.

Problem with some, especially in the UK, although that has changed over the years, is that catering has been seen as a subserviant profession, because it is such a class ridden soceity.

Which is why inn the UK, customer service is poor.

I trained as a chef, many moons ago and I have a degree in hospitality management, I worked with alot of Europeans, and found this to be the case, it is a skilled profession here...

I became frustrated in the UK with it, then I took a teaching degree, I became frustrated with that, so I moved countries rather than take more degrees...

You know, Tina, I would ignore them, you do not want to be surrounded by people who sneer and criticise what you do.

If you enjoy your job, then enjoy it, no matter what people say, I had a restaurant with my ex husband, we could not afford many staff, I have been on my hands and knees, my hand down many lavatory bowls, been surrounded by dirty dishes, so that I could not be seen.

That was for myself and for my family, I would not entertain any person who sneered or criticised what I do or what I have done for a living...

YOu are a professional in your trade, next time a person sneers at you, pour their soup over their head...

Ignorance breeds nastiness, see them as ignorant people.

Hi Lisa

Yes, I know it is true, I too have worked in the industry, as I said, they are not worth the time of day.

So let's not give it to them eh?

I sometimes feel teaching is a thankless task, but then I enjoy it and I do it to provide an income, to help youg people, and because I get to work in a different environment, anybody else that wants to criticise me for that, whether I do that, clean loos, or scrub floors, or serve food, can talk a walk in the park...

I do not give it airtime and neither should you ladies....

I am just a dirty diamond driller, and we are treated like pariahs where I work. The odd part of this is that if there were no contractors working at our mine it would have closed years ago. We know they need us when they get all starry eyed and beg us to get some job done so they can have something to do. We are constantly told to go work hard and build their mine for them. In part because we do the jobs that are most difficult or extreme. They spend many hours each day in the lunch rooms, and usually come up to surface cleaner than when they went down. I personally change colours each day... from a caucasian to an oil slicked rag toting set of white eyes and teeth with a light on my head.
I just smile at them and walk on by, I make more money than most of them even though they have been there for 30 plus years.
If everyone got paid for what they do then there would be a lot of bankruptcies from company men for certain.

Well, from what I understand of the system - a Professional is a person fully qualified in what they do to earn their living.

A medical doctor is a professional worker, ditto a dentist, a nursing sister, an engineer, etc. They work to a certain criteria understood by fellow workers. They hold Degrees of education...... from a Bachelor, to Master, to Professor..... etc.

A trade is lower down on the scale, with a Diploma. They can further their education by taking Degrees.

A Tradesman/woman such as a welder, jeweller, carpenter, plumber, bricklayer, blaster, obtain Diplomas, and then may go on to obtain Degrees - and become Specialists, or Professionals in their profession. And all this then entitles them to teach/lecture at different levels of education.

I am a Professional Con-Artist, I hold my own personally designed and hand-made Degrees for many many subjects, it all depends on what I feel like doing each week/month. Studying is for stupid people, and I am not stupid, but very good at designing things - and so I reward myself with beautifully decorated and ornate diplomas and degrees, and avoid a lot of problems and time/money wasting.cheers
