Every man has his own tastes.
For me I don't mind if a woman is a bit chubby. But if she is 30-50lbs over weight then yes that is concerning from a "how healthy is she?" point of view. Being extremely over weight is simple not healthy. Also I do what I can to stay in shape, why would I want to date someone that does'nt mind or care about being over weight? But this is just my out look. I don't see it as being shallow but instead more of a preference.

This is really as Wantedman said something that differs from person to person...I once read that the result of a research among more than 1000 men, most of them actually liked women with size, nice curves and a bit proportional. My personal idea about this is that it seems true because most and lot of the men I know (including myself) like women that have it along with them....however alot of these same people (now I will honestly exclude myself) tend to go along...in the eyes of others with the fact that they rather be seen with the "ideal typical" slim figured women, which I find is stupid because I dont like pretending...If I like something it doest matter what the world think...it's my preference and you either accept me for who I am or you just pick up and go...

You shouldn't be focussing too much on being a bit more than others in size..believe me..there are thousands of men out there that like the "Bigger " woman.....just keep in mind what Wantedman just said....

Being extremely over weight is simple not healthy.

A real woman has curves. If you weigh 300 lbs or more, that is unhealthy, but what is more important, is you are healthy.

Some skinny/slim women do not look healthy. Some models are so slim they look like a 10 yr old boy. If a guy wants to hug or sleep with a hard bony stick, it sounds uncomfortable.

Now a women with cures, is soft to cuddle and has something to hold on to. (this is what males have told me, including my boyfriend.) Same goes for men. I love to cuddle teddy bears so if the man has a bit of flesh on him (and is healthy), he'd be nice to cuddle. teddybear

I believe that if a woman is confident with herself, and healthy, men respond to that. Whether you are a size 2, or size 20. Obviously, grossly overweight is not a drawing card, but there are many health issues with that as well. I am by no stretch, super model material. But I am able to draw second glances, because of how I carry myself and what I think of myself. yay

ok I THINK I was 115 when I was 13 years old! rolling on the floor laughing

HOWEVER, don't look back at what you USED to look like...you are just beating yourself up with a stick if you do that!

look at HOW YOU LOOK NOW............. that, my friend, is what counts! (and I never said you were 300 pounds...I was hypathetically speaking....)

as the prevoius post said, doesn't matter if you are a size 2 or 20...it's all in your personality and how you carry yourself!

Guys don't want "a stick in the mud" but, want someone who can have F-U-N, let her hair down and just be herself....

once you can do that, you have won half the battle....

slim women aren't a bad thing...different strokes for different folks.....so, maybe the men YOu are attracted to, aren't attracted to women such as yourself....

please, don't take what I said to offense..... sometimes the truth hurts....

go out there.....have fun.....make every night or day seem like the last one..... and you will see that ONCE you pass that stage of "before my kids I was 115". and accept YOU for what you are now, things will MOST DEFINATELY get better

guys love women who are independant, funny and whom can be themselves....try that! I am sure your social life will SKY ROCKET!

Good luck to you girl!

Cheers!

A couple of the women on here have already expressed how i feel about this subject.

YOU have to be comfortable with your size for others around you to be comfortable with it.

I agree that all men have their own personal preferences, then again so do women...I don't believe its necessarily a derogatory thing if a man does not prefer my curves.

I LOVE being curvy....I would never want to lose that...(and yes you can be healthy with curves!! Go figuregrin )...

The man in my life as well as the men i have dated were surprised to find that my own attitude towards being a curvy woman, changed their own outlook towards ALL curvy women.

Yeah thats the thing i am proud of my curves it just seems that alot of men are NOT!!!thumbs down and yes having kids does do something with a woman's body that some changes are not for the better some think..... I only have pics on here that are of my face never a full body one but when i do meet someone on here i am always honest with them on how i look out of the pic, and after we chat for for a bit and have to go i never hear from them again.... I know it is not of the way i act i am very friendly, kind and make friends easily so it must be the way i look from what they cant see from the pic. Of course that does not stop me from still chatting thier is someone out thier that would love to cuddle with someone with meat on thier bones, just finding it harder and harder to find someone who is comfy with they way i look as I am!!!!

Ok...read you forum, and your profile..and the other things with people have written. I would like to put in my opinon..and this is from the heart..really it is. I adore full figure women. They have the best attitudes, hearts, and mentalities of amy women I know. I find them atractive, and desirable. You AlbertaGirl are very attractive and have a wonderful profile. There is a great guy in this pond just waiting to be caught by you. When i cuddle witha woman, I like to know she is ther and that I can hug and hold without breaking. I enjoy being huged and held back with some umph..if you know what I mean. You are a treasure and a wonderful woman. I think your best days are ahead of you. Full Figure is the best of all worlds. Keep it real, be yourself, be content, be happy, and all will be good. Hope this helps..and it was from my heart. Chuck. wave sad flower

Curves are OK, much better than skinny, but some women waddling around all overweight should have a good look at themselves.

Curvy women can't do much about it, that's the way they are, but I'm sure many of the overweight type can. Some exercise and proper diet could be a start.

There's too much emphasis on the 'perfect figure' (whatever that is) and women should take less notice of it, life would be much easier for them.

That said, men are not immune to this either and women would have every right to comment on them as well.

I don’t like skinny women. I like a curvy bubbly women which I think make women look nice and cute as long is not over weight.
I think also all of us got many thing nice which if we know how to use them can hide the negative think that we do our best to hide.
Being positive is all about.

I was reading some of these responses, and notice that it seems exceptable for a bigger woman to basically"cut up" a small woman, but not the other way around!I am a small and petite woman with almost no curves, but I get hit on all the time......so.... PREFERENCE is the key word here, and nothing wrong with your body if YOU are happy with it! But, I dont think its fair to call small woman "sticks" or"10 year old boys", cause everyone has a different metabolism.I dont go on here saying bigger woman is like sleeping with jello, or some other rude analogy, small people dont like to be insulted any more than big ones!scold thumbs down

I will apologize for making you feel the comment was to insult "Healthy" skinny/slim people.

My comment was more directed to how the marketing media uses people that look so slime or skinny. The ones giving women (and men) the impression that is what they HAVE to look like. Larger people have been made to feel they are freaks, at restaurants, airlines company's, in medical situations, and when buying clothes and even jobs. Imagine being turned away from a gym.

Larger people have been ostracized because of their size. Not all have gotten that size because they eat too much.

My boyfriend lost over 87 pounds and has lots of loose skin. He still has lots of weight to loose but people assume he eats large sized meals, and to have made comments about him.

After I had my 3 kids, I had gained enough weight to wear Jr sized clothes, (size 7 adult). After I go sick, due to medication, I blossomed to 258 lbs, size 28. It has taken a lot of work to get down to regular adult size 14. Not taking into consideration why I was so large, my mother, brother and some friends had nasty comments regarding my larger size.

No offense, but a slimmer person has more of a chance to get a job, clothing that is not just designed for "larger" people, and if you want nice looking clothing, at a higher cost. A slimmer person will be viewed as more attractive than a slimmer person. Have you ever sat on a bus and listened to comments people make about another, or at some social situation where you can hear what others are saying about another?

Besides, Georgie Girl, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Shampoo, movies Queen Latifah, & Cameron Manheim have stared in, what other larger stars/ have been a success ?? More has been made about how slim and what diet the female movie stars use to keep their slim size. Just this week alone, it was all about how Angelina got back her figure after having twins.

Sorry for the long post folks. To Alberta girl, you are beautiful! To newchick, the comments were not meant as an insult. Beauty comes from with in not from what size we are.

After all these posts, I will show that I am the odd one again.

The women that I tend to be attracted to, tend to be the lean, wirey, athetic, and smaller brearted. Of course, there is flexiblity. But there is a point, that extra padding turns me off.

I consider myself as lean, and do not have the spare tire around my middle.

But than again I am the one, that has ended up being single.
