We drink in different manners. Some enjoy that late evening alone with a glass and some soft music in the foreground (there are no backgrounds when being alone).

Others prefer to buy a bottle now and then to have at a dinner, with guest or to bring as gifts.

And yet others prefer to not buy any at all, old bottles are forgotten in the dark of the cupboards. A glass at the local bar on a rare occation when sitting down to eat out.

How do you handle the bottle subject?

---

I have bottles left in the kitchen from last summer, some Glühwein from the christmas and gift bottles en mass.

I never drink when I do not have visitors, and I rarely have visitors (this is Spain, you meet at the bar).

I counted 32 bottles of white and red wine of different quality plus 4 bottles of Glühwein.

Well,

I do have a glass of wine in the evenings, not every evening.

I have 17 cases of Beringer Cab Sauvignoin.

In fact, I cannot count them all, I have a cellar here, shared, but a friend built me some wine racks in there.

So I have a lot.

It is yes...

I try to convince myself that is my reason, but after 37 glasses, I have lost the ability to reason with myself.

That is now confirmed to such a degree that the Swedish health authorities (that are really stubborn about anti alcohol policies) has removed the ban on drinking red wine even for pregnant women.

For me, that is the final word. If they say that they can, then it is good.

Hi Sommer,

I am so, so tired...
I just can't wait to go to bed.
I would love to not have to work anymore. I would love to live on an island, alone with my friends, family and my love.

Bibi.

How are you?

37 glasses is six and one sixth bottles if you use a standard sized glass and a standard .75 litre bottle......hmmmm - firstly, I bet your glass is a larger than 'standard' wine glass (though, of course, you'd never be so infradig as to actually fill it); and, secondly:

What do you do with the 5/6ths of a bottle you haven't drunk?

Usually sling it in a pan and add some meat and veg...,

No, I do not fill my glass, that would be shameful behaviour.

I rarely buy alcohol because I mostly don't like drinking alone. What I get as presents, I often give as presents again. Sometimes it lies in the kitchen from one end of the year to the next. The odd time friends come over and we open a bottle I'd rarely finish a glass of red wine. If a bottle is open and unfinished I pour it down the sink the next day usually. So I suppose I'm not much of a drinker.wine hug
