evening all

from wikepedia\
After four years in New York City, Obama moved to Chicago to work as a community organizer for three years from June 1985 to May 1988 as director of the Developing Communities Project (DCP), a church-based community organization originally comprising eight Catholic parishes in Greater Roseland (Roseland, West Pullman, and Riverdale) on Chicago's far South Side. During his three years as the DCP's director, its staff grew from one to thirteen and its annual budget grew from $70,000 to $400,000, with accomplishments including helping set up a job training program, a college preparatory tutoring program, and a tenants' rights organization in Altgeld Gardens. Obama also worked as a consultant and instructor for the Gamaliel Foundation, a community organizing institute. In mid-1988, he traveled for the first time to Europe for three weeks and then for five weeks in Kenya, where he met many of his Kenyan relatives for the first time.

Hard work and dedication pay off after all but like I've heard Bodhi say "the race is eternal". I would go
so far as to say it's not even a race.

My arguments weren't...they are based on sound information...to dispel the myths of all Muslims being terrorists...or all Muslims who read the Qua'ran because it has violent verses the same as the bible are terrorists....now yes I had to use text from there to dispel that argument because nothing else was working...to show the similarities rather than the differences between the Quar'an and the bible...because the violent versus are the only ones people seem to want to concentrate on...yet they are ignored when it comes to the bible....wink wave hug teddybear hug bouquet

You did a rather admirable job at that. I was very impressed, but then, I didn't need any convincing. Education and information that is true and of real value is vitally important. TY.

Yes, they are, because ultimately your agenda is personal, so the ego wins out regardless. That is the ultimate strawman...

"It's my duty to enlighten..." No your "duty" is to be happy and know love, and that can only be done with the diminishing of ego. Who died and made you crusader? Ignorance cannot stand the light of day. Be that day. When you sink to their level, you've already lost...

This thread is about class. Cut and paste is not class. Quotes are scarecrows for what you're really trying to say: "I"m right, you're wrong". This is what they do. Be original. Turn the other cheek, accept things as they are, and make your own little corner a little brighter.

JMHO, shell. hug

It seems like you are really projecting a" I'm right your wrong" post here bodhi?

Accept things as they are...why are you not accepting Hugz n Kisses stance? Because she cited some quotes? I just saw her posts as as her way of trying to raise a valid argument that she has...

Can you clear this up if I have it wrong please....
