Conrad73: Nope,he ain't Swiss.
Posing maybe.
Not everybody living in Geneva is Swiss.

Conrad you remember what I told you last time and I don’t want repeat it here, so respect yourself or else I will tell you what you won’t like to hear in public. I never said I am a swiss; did i? However you yourself spent over 23 years of your stupid life in a foreign country but yet every time you run to the word my country, my country, my country. Do you know that over 10 % of the population of your country held a foreign citizenship and that ten percent is including you? Life is just like that time moves and people moves so you are old enough to think.

Good morning Cherokee! I see you are still getting flak from some of our universal cs airhead friends. You know you should'nt be casting pearls before swine, it is just a waste of time and energy. If certain people don't care to listen, you know what you need to do! Wipe the dust off your shoes and move on to the next town.

If I was a betting man, I'd say there are those who are saying to themselves right now that I am telling you to move out of state. It is sad to think there are people out there who don't have a clue as to what is really going on around them. When the wake-up bell is finally rang, they will though...I hope.

It will be interesting and amusing to watch the athiests of this world standing before their creator and trying to convince Him that He does not exist. It will also be a very sad day.

I wonder what Madaline Murray-Ohare is thinking now that she has been corrected? I wish I had some real ones for you, you've been through a lot of crap the last few days. Take a break![/ ] Tk u I agree, funny, my aunt said the same thing to me.I am dusting as of now.As soon as I answer Conrad.teddybear lips

Conrad73: So it had to do with Politics.

It started using religion as a ethnic difference (Superior/inferior genes) The politics was to ensure that Catholics did not hold down a whole list of occupations.

Needless to say i am an Aethist, I do not like any form of orgainised religion whatsoever.

It will be more interesting to see those who are Christian stand before god in judgment and tell him why they were against people he created because of their race...religion...colour or creed...did not god create them all????

This is my take: Every culture was given their own religion...and understanding of god...there were religions in existence far before the time of Jesus....one of them being the Native American culture where they call god the creator...now the Native Americans were not touched by Christianity until the coming of the Europeans...yet their spirituality contained a creator who created all...if you look at any religious doctrine...it contains similarities...including a deity...ever lasting life...and represents love and peace...so what makes Christians believe that their religion is superior when it comes to every other religion that was perhaps given to others as a way for them to understand god if it was probably given by god????

So now when you think of judgment...perhaps you better worry about your own...because I would think those who mock and discriminate against those which their same god created will be in a much harsher position than those of us who respect...and accept people for who they are and don't judge them based on race...religion...creed or colour....wine

cherokeemoon2: I am not from Ireland,U need to read the post better.Ur swiss and u know more about the world than I do? REALLY?How much money have u send to Zambia,Sudan or Somilian to help the starving people there.I have sent a lot,put ur money where ur mouth is then debate.I dont belong to ETA.I dont care whether u believe I am a bible believer or not I dont have to justify anything to u.The post u speak of about the fightimg in Ireland was made way back in another post.Makes u look supicious to say the least.i never said Nelson Mandela was a terrorist in any post .Thats just an out and out lie on ur part.

Cherokee said: I am not from Ireland,U need to read the post better

Zambe reply: i am sure this woman need really help to understand more, however you have to know that i always have sympathy on the women never mind how aggressive they are. Up there i never said you are from Ireland; come on don’t run, i tried to travel with you around the world and show you your leader’s reckless way of naming, so you the one who shall read the post better.

Cherokee said:

Zambe reply: a true statement from a bible believer!!! But i hop you didn’t play fast and loss, i am not from Zambia. concern to the aid or Aids you boast yourself to send out, i use to call it “HELL-p” what you shall understand is that if you look at each and every country you are sending Aids you get billions from those country’s raw materials, and anyone who try to say no, he is automatically qualify to be name terrorist NO 1,2,3,4,5,6 etc.

do you know why Mr Nelson Mandela was named? Because in his country there was Gold and diamonds and you need it!!! Do you know why your oil gazzelers are busy manipulating things in Sudan? Because there is oil in the land, you already know how you got in Iraq don’t you? If you leave these countries alone they will never ask you aid, they could even help you.

The good example (maybe) you can understand please read the second part of this comment. I were suppose post only the link but because of the rules of this site I cant post a like here.

Because of these kinds of Christianist greedy Africans have to be beggars. While if you give them a fair share of their sweat they could never, never, never need HEL-p from you. but how can you let them have that while you are still bible believers? No, you can’t; its part of the faith to be greedy, liar, killer, trickier etc.

If that poor and Christian country call Ethiopia gets at least 50% of their products they could have roads, schools and hospitals. (Please find out 50% of what they produce and the amount of HELL-p you give them a year)

Cherokee said: i never said Nelson Mandela was a terrorist

Zambe reply: can I ask you to go and read again please? Look at what I said; I think I wrote YOUR bible thumpers.
comfort

Starbucks, the giant US coffee chain, has used its muscle to block an attempt by Ethiopia's farmers to copyright their most famous coffee bean types, denying them potential earnings of up to £47m a year, said Oxfam.

The development agency said the Ethiopian government last year filed copyright applications to trademark its most famous coffee names - Sidamo, Harar and Yirgacheffe. Securing the rights to these names would enable the impoverished African country to control their use in the market and allow farmers to receive a greater share of the retail price.

The move would have increased its annual export earnings from coffee by 25%.

But Oxfam said Starbucks, which enjoyed a 22% rise in annual global turnover to $7.8bn in the year to October, has acted to block Ethiopia's application to the US patent and trademark office. The USPTO has denied Ethiopia's applications for Sidamo and Harar, creating serious obstacles for its project.

Oxfam had a one-year cooperation agreement in 2004 with Starbucks which saw both provide support to coffee farmers in Ethiopia as part of wider attempts to reduce poverty in the country. But Oxfam now feels that the Seattle-based company's attitude is questionab

Oxfam said: "Starbucks has made some progress towards helping poor farmers in recent years, but their behaviour on this occasion is a huge backwards step, and raises serious questions about the depth of their commitment to the welfare of their suppliers. By acting responsibly, they could set an example for others by supporting Ethiopia's plan to help the 15 million struggling Ethiopian farmers who depend on coffee for their survival."

Starbucks, whose annual turnover is equivalent to about three quarters of Ethiopia's entire gross domestic product, said in a statement it had never "filed an opposition to the Ethiopian government's trademark application".

However, Ron Layton, head of Light Years IP, a Washington-based intellectual property rights organisation that is advising the Ethiopian government, said that in 2004 Starbucks had filed a trademark application with the word "Sidamo" to the USPTO. The USPTO then judged that Ethiopia's application a year later had to be rejected because the word was already the subject of Starbucks' application.

"Intellectual property ownership now makes up a huge proportion of the total value of world trade but rich countries and businesses capture most of this. Ethiopia, the birthplace of coffee, and one of the poorest countries in the world, is trying to assert its rights and capture more value from its product. It should be helped, not hindered," said Mr Layton.

Starbucks insisted, however, that it was committed to paying premium prices to producers in more than 27 countries and its purchases of Ethiopian coffee had grown by more than 400% in the past four years. It said it paid an average of $1.23 (65p) per pound last year, 23% above average market prices.

Tadesse Meskela, head of the Oromia coffee farmers cooperative union in Ethiopia, was unimpressed, however. "Coffee shops can sell Sidamo and Harar coffees for up to £14 a pound because of the beans' specialty status. But Ethiopian coffee farmers only earn between 30p and 59p for their crop, barely enough to cover the cost of production.

"We sell organic coffee for less than £1 a pound but that pound can make 52 specials in coffee shops selling for £2 each, meaning the retailer is selling it for £104. The people who are producing this in Ethiopia don't have enough food, clean water or health centres.

"Farmers are losing out while others in the chain are making huge amounts of money. That is hugely unfair."

Ethiopia is continuing to pursue its trademark applications in the US. It is also asking Starbucks and other companies to sign voluntary licensing agreements that immediately acknowledge the country's ownership of the coffee names, regardless of whether they have been issued with a trademark.
