Update: Dow is now down 10,000 points, worst in 4 years...

I have been telling people this was going to happen. No one wanted to listen. I still say, Prepare for the worst cos you ain't seen nothin yet!

The 700 billion gave tax breaks to Big Banking and purchased $800 toilet seats! What a waste!! It was a FACADE (a false face) and our STUPID representatives fell for it, hook, line and sinker... I imagine because the LOBYISTS padded their pockets pretty well, to do so!!!

Can anyone say, "We're F*cked!!!!!!!!"

We are already in a depression. Why do we need to vote for obama he has yet to give a straight answer about anything. The only thing he is good at is talking to people forget their questions. When he gives a straight answer maybe people in America will take him serious.professor

And BHO said he insisted that there were provisions in the bill to help the man on the street so he could vote for this wall street welfare package.

Both voted for the damn thing.

Yeah, well, if you're gonna' make threats like that then come on over! But you'd better bring a ladder! (Plus a bit of common sense, a polite manner and an apology - we still have our guns!) rolling on the floor laughing

OK, my two cents.

Early this morning, various financial advisor types were talking about where money would be safe, i.e. 401 Ks, stocks, bonds, CDs, etc.

They did not recommend stocks. But they did recommend any place that would be quaranteed by the government, i.e. bonds, money markets and CDs. In other words, places that will be safe by way of the bailout money and the legislation that raised the FDIC insured bank deposits covered from $100,000 to $250,000.

So everyone is dumping stocks and going into anything protected by the government and the bailout program.

Hence the market is down....and it will come back and folks will buy, buy, buy stocks grin

This has happened before and it will happen again wine

Our forefathers must be cart wheeling in their graves!

The bailout is a scam. If this bailout is past, say good-bye to the already dwindling Republic. This bailout will give the Treasury Secretary unConstitutional powers and super inflate the dollar.

How can the Fed create 700 billion dollars out of thin air to pay back the corrupt people who created this mess and not have it cause absolute run away inflation?

The more money that is in our economy to buy the same limited goods causes those goods to sky rocket in price.
