Why would an "impartial" debate be held in Nashville?? Nashville is a hotbed of right wing politics. Country music has it's home in Nashville. Country music is unabashdly ultra right wing. It's performers and messages are ultra right wing. Is this another attempt to fill the audience with pro McCain questions? It's politicians are, of course, right wing.
Do they really believe the questions from the audience will not be McCain friendly??
There is only about 50 seats in the auditorium.....do you really believe they don't prescreen people for the debate? Come on now.
Nashville is a metropolitan area. finding people who vote democrat is just as easy as finding someone who votes republ, especially since it is at a university.

Sorry ship....all depends on what type of country you listen to...Jimmie 'the singing brakeman' Rodgers, Hank Williams, The Outaw Movement...Johnny Cash..were not right wing..There is a alot of crap in Nashville I'll give you that...
I listen to a lot of country music and none of it is right wing. there are right wing bands of course but the likes of kris kristopherson, johnny cash, willie nelson, john prine, alison kraus and so on could never be labeled as right wing. as for the debate being held in nashville, it can only be a good thing. there is no point in obama preaching to the converted at this stage so he needs to continue to challenge and gather more votes.
