Sparky55: Dude, Kennedy escalated the war and pushed for the overthrow of the President of South Vietnam, Ngo Dinh Diem. He did talk about pulling out after the next election but he never had the chance. He was not supported by his own Party. I guess you could say Kennedy was akin to Kerry. He was for the escalation before he was against the escalation... Seems to me if there were a conspiracy to kill him it would have logically come from within., I think it odd that his VP countermanded everything Kennedy did to begin the process of ending our involvement in the Vietnam War.
