The thought I'd rather be alone and miserable with the hope of finding someone awesome, than being with someone that made me miserable with my only hope of being alone.
Then I realize the part about "hope of finding someone awesome" and all is well.

For me, the freedom is what makes single life bearable. I remember all of the misery of my marriages when I think I'm miserable being single...and then I'm very happy again to be single.
Nobody to answer to, nobody to expect me to be anywhere at a given time. I like that freedom. I've never dealt well with feeling caged.

What makes single life bearable?
I don't sit home feeling sorry for myself. Cause then just do to much thinking about what my life could be and should be. That would just serve no purpose.
So instead I go out camping, fishing, practice with my bow and arrow and do some skeet shooting. They had a turkey shoot today where I shot at paper targets and won a turkey for this coming Thanksgiving.
