marebear734: I think they my be the answer this time! This is going to be a mess. What happened to really caring about the world. We have gone to the pooper! Well some of us anyway. Thanks for the advice!!
Voting for an independant is the same as not voting in this election. Just look at the numbers. That was the same logic which cost Al Gore the election in 2000 and Kerry in 04. Look at where we are today thanks to people who wasted their vote on Ralph Nader or people who didn't vote out of protest.
shipoker58: very true! But both parties must accept blame for this finacial mess we are in. BOTH partiesJust makes me proud that I was poor before poor was "in"
Me too Ship, me too. I'm so wanting a tax rate change for all hose over 250,000 and no one will make feel badly for them or sorry it is being done.
No more buisness as usual without actually supporting the needs of the country and people you are doing buisness in. Greed is no longer "in".

I agree...I mean let's face reality here...the way things are right now...tax cuts are not realistic...and who better to raise them on that those businesses who can afford it...which the 250,000.00 tax cut will effect what...2% of businesses????
Tax cuts sound good as a campaign ploy and that's it...reality of the U.S. economy is a different ballgame!!!!

Skybow: Under the current administrations plan that you all are crying to continue we have found ourselves up shi* creek without a proverbial paddle. What paddle do you suppose we should use. It cannot continue the way it has in my opinion.
The buisness you speak of are are not just cutting back now they are closing while the people loose their homes. Jobs have been outsorced, we already have a very high unemployment rate it's been growing all year. The tax rates and loopholes need to be adjusted and closed.
I will not mourn the loss of that, why do you. Seems you want the ghosts of Christmas past. Its a new year and a dire one now.
It seems to me that you are not looking at the reality of now.
Interesting point. The businesses I speak of are not just cutting back now, they are closing while people lose their homes. I agree so the right answer must be to increase the taxes on those and similar business' so that we can all reach the same level of poverty.
There's a huge difference between the economic crisis we currently face and the economic plans touted by the candidates. Their plans are fundemental differences. The current economic madness we now faces was caused by a combination of failure to regulate, corruption, greed and forcing banks and other lending institutions to make loans to people who could not afford to repay the debts. These problems were caused by all and the solution will not be found in increasing taxes on anyone.
You made no comment on my earlier statement about people who do not need these tax credits (such as myself) will still be recipients. Do you think people like me should be on the receiving end of this plan? If so, I would think that Obama was right and this is simply a plan to spread around the wealth rather than helping those who really need it. How's that for reality?
Conrad73: Both parties don't have a NODDING acquaintance with Capitalism, neither do most people in general.
The Parties are just the two sides of the same Plugged Nickle! And so are practically all political parties in this world. Statists the Lot.
Wiki helps here.....
There is no precise definition of how much state intervention represents statism. Thus, at one extreme, some anarchists consider that the mere existence of a state is enough to make a country statist , while at the other extreme it is argued that only the most rigid totalitarian systems are truly statist.
zeelanderer: Why does it seem that most of the Obama supporters on this site are from countries that leanings toward Socialism and can't even vote in the US election?
Zee
Maybe because we arent affected by the press in your country the way you all are

No, it is called capitalism and a Democrat can be a capitalist too.
By taking capital from Repubs and giving it to capitalist Demos.
