pianolover: I have a lady friend who is my age,36 years old. She has a boyfriend who is much older than her. He did heart surgeries three time this year and was almost died. She will marry him this year, but all of her family and friends disagree, beacuse of this man has a very serious heart problem. What do you think of her facing problem?
If he's very rich and without heirs, none. Otherwise she'll have to do an Anna Nicole.
shipoker58: yes....I have had three serios heart attacks! open heart surgery, acute pancreatitis and been under hospice care twice. And I am not even taking heart medication today.
Mean while..a 23 year old, locally, was crossing the street in a crosswalk, when a car turned a corner and didn't stop for the pedestrian in the crosswalk, and was killed.Moral of the story...when it's your time to go...you're going!!
Hugz_n_Kissez: I agree...if you love someone...you don't abandon them in their time of need when they are ill!!!!
True, but one has some considerable choice in developing a relationship - in selecting with whom we fall in love, Shel. I wouldn't choose a lady who had *major* health issues...
Hugz_n_Kissez: Let's not go down the "dress" path.[/quote
I didn't say who had to wear the dress..maybe Ambrose will lend ya one...
I would never loan out my dresses, Hugsy! That would be like lending someone my very soul. But for what it's worth I do think Indy would look quite fetching in one, and that he and Ship would make an adorable couple. But that's probably just the diehard romantic in me.

ANd by the way, please take note of my new macho "Bud"-hatted look. I sincerely believe I'm well on the way of evolving far beyond my ill-fated feminine side (or so I hope - I can't afford all the makeup and clothing!!).
If she loves him, then yes she should marry him. My grandfather had 5 heart attacks before I was even born, and he is now 75 years old and still going strong! If a person loves someone, their health should not deter them from getting married. Besides that, with a change in diet and excercise, my grandfather has lived 30 years longer than the dr's said he would, because he had a great wife to take care of him and make him eat right and excersize regurlarly!
I wouldnt waste what time they do have together on worrying about the what ifs of his health! I think they should get married and live out what time he does have left on this earth happy! Good luck to your friend and her possible husband!!

That's true in choosing but she is already with him and plans to marry him in 2 months I would say she is marrying him cause she loves him...so if you are with someone and already in love with them..what her family and friends are suggesting is not right...they are suggesting him that she abandon him cause he's ill!!!!!!!!

I've seen the phenomenon before - my aunt is a super-heath conscious lady who essentially has put her husband on "life-support" with her regimen of exercise and diet, and it has doubtless kept him alive for many additional years.
But damn...what a burden for her to bear. Not everyone would - or should - be up to that, I'm thinking.

Agreed - and Mornin' to you, too, Hugsly!
I kind of assumed that she was already aware of his health problems while developing their relationship, so it seems she's probably already made her choice.

I agree...don't they just make the cutest couple though and I guess Indy will have to buy his own then since you can't part with any of yours!!!!!
