Pretending to be a call centre or otherwise can be cool! cool

I remember back in the 80's (before call centres became the home of the antichrist incarnate) that if I was stressed out at work and the telephone rang I'd answer:

'Medical Reception Centre - may I help you?'

I wasn't working in a medical reception centre; mostly the other person would sound slightly confused and put the phone down after quietly muttering something like:

'Sorry - I must have the wrong number!'

'No problem' I'd reply:

'Have a nice day!'

grin

shot3743: I don't get it Rusty.
The dollar gained 25% in value in the last 3 months.
It's predicted to gain another 25% some time soon, you say. I.e. from 79 to 100 euro cents.
You're saying, exchange your dollars for Euros and watch these Euros lose value?

And will any of this affect my overdraft?

I agree ... I was confused too

Hoarding gold sounds a bit negative to me............... it might be useful as a measure of wealth but can't be put to good use in quite the same way as money - lending another person a few bars of bullion is probably more of a logistical problem than an electronic transfer of 'paper money'.

However, I do see times of huge inflation ahead as governments have started increasing the money supply 'willy nilly' (£75 billion alone in the UK) before wealth has been created - maybe time to invest in some tangible assets like a few tons of grain or rice................ you still have the problem of storage - oh, there's the futures market - but again the means of trading them is stuff called 'money'!

dunno
