The age between 30's and 40's is an interesting time in a woman´s life.
She´s wiser, she´s still got the looks and she´s got all the right attitudes, she´s happy with herself and her life or at least it´s much clearer for her where she´s going. That seems to attract men of all ages.
Young guys under 20 are fascinated by their maturity, their experience and self-confidence. Too bad they can´t pay for their own dinner, so the lady dating a guy this age should be prepared to be treated as a real goddess, be worshipped and adored, but also kep her purse handy to provide the big boy his bus fare change the following morning.
Guys between 30 and 40. Sharing the same interests and similar moments in life, as related to career, children, leisure taste and same levels of "energy" to do things. Unfortunately, they´re all traumatized due to previous relationships, they still haven´t solved those problems with their ex's, and they´re afraid mature women will be too demanding, so they are really standoffish and busy trying to impress 20 year old girls who still can´t tell right from left.
Guys over 40 seem to have a strange belief in "inner beauty", proportional to their own physical state - they are less demanding about a woman´s looks. And they´ll treat a woman as a real queen again. They´re experient, they are wise, they have more sense of humor. The drawback, I will leave to the ladies to guess.
Oct 28, 2008 10:05 AM CST One for the ladies since everyone seems to be in the mood today!

You mean there´s, erm, hope? I´ll be glad to live another 10 years if it´s really gonna be worth it.

Life doesn't begin until 40 lol and being comfortable being a woman in a lot of aspects starts there lol.

You raise interesting points there, you smart lady and a thread, I love...Exploring women.
I have just reached 40, I find now that I am happier, more confident, I have no hang ups about my looks, I am what I am, streth marks et all, I love them and would not want to chage them for the world...
You are right, we are wiser, we realise that happiness is a journey, not a destination, we do not need a guy to make us happy, we want one to join us on the journey.
As for guys between those ages, my ex was ten years older than me, and at 50, he was all over the place...
Young men are fascinated, they want their Mrs Robinson, we are confident, in our sexuality, are more open about it and know where we are at... So in some respects men in their 20's are attracted to it, but give it to them, and they become discombobulated because emotionally they are not ready for it, but they can buck like rabbits, so that is ok...
But they have yet to learn that we 'older' women are not all gagging for it, we want the energy, because we are in our s*xual peak as they are at that age, but the older man can find the clitoris without a map and a compass...
Men... I dislike genderising, but sometimes it has to be done, in their 30's and forties are sometimes sorted, now those ones are damn sexy, gentle, yet strong, fun yet know when to be serious, can make love to you tenderly, or like an animal, and rut to their national anthem... Young men can rut and have yet to learn the power of making love to the mind...
Interesting thread, I like it and will be interested to see where this goes...
I find that in my 30's I was still looking for men around my age, but in my 40's I started to find men in their 50's at their sexiest. Oh, yes, I'm aware of the drawback to this age group...especially if they have health problems or are heavy drinkers/smokers.
However, what I find is that a lot of men in this age group have finally grown into their sensuality, and that they're capable of giving a lot more pleasure to a woman than a man in his 20's or 30's. They've learned how to slow down and appreciate making love rather than just being concerned with getting their own pleasure as often as possible.
I'm 43 and I think by the time we reach our forties we have finally got on a straight track in life and have pretty much weeded out the obstacles in our way to where we can reach and achieve our goals.
Cause by 40, most of the notions of our youth have been tested and we feel more grounded in who we are.
I'm so inspired to be over 30. Only then can i be happy () , be beautiful, confident, attract all types of men ( including scum) and my life can finally begin(whatever that means, guess i'll learn then too).

Just speaking from my own experience.
Yeah! But what takes thewm so long? Couldn´t they be like that at their 40´s? Why do they only finally learn when they´ve got really no other option except to finally learn? Maybe because that´s when all of us finally learn...

I honestly admire the way you seem to be comfortable in yourself, your life and experiences. You fit most of what was said in the Op. Congrats!
No, this isn't a sarcastic post.
I wouldn't mind being like you ( in many ways), when i'm over 30.
