Skybow: Get over it OK, I'm not afraid of using full quotes are you? I know who I am where I live and what I love, America!
i'm sorry.....i'm sure you do love america, as much as anyone else....it was'nt my intent to try to make it sound as though you did'nt....but, i love america too...and i see it dwindeling away....with all the BS thats going on....and its comming from both the democrat and republican side....i geuss i was venting and did'nt mean to take it out on you....but as for the partys and who is responsible.....is'nt it a fact, that the democrats have been in control and its easy to point fingers at the sitting president, who happens to be a republican?
A republic is a state or country that is not led by a hereditary monarch, but in which the people (or at least a part of its people) have impact on its government....
The organization of republics can vary widely....
In most modern republics the head of state is termed president. Other titles that have been used are consul, doge, archon and many others. In republics that are also democracies the head of state is selected as the result of an election. This election can be indirect, such as if a council of some sort is elected by the people, and this council then elects the head of state.
In these kinds of republics the usual term for a president is in the range of four to six years. In some countries the constitution limits the number of terms the same person can be elected as president. This type of democracy was used in Ancient Rome.
If the head of state of a republic is at the same time the head of government, this is called a presidential system (example: United States)...
Skybow: Nope, the tax reversals will benefit the middle class, which sorely needs it. Are you feeling sorry for Exxon, or Halliburton? I'm not.
You will learn. It's gonna be a Brand-new Experience for the American people, this Socialism! Yes rip off the Corporations and Businesses to the extent that all Production and Investment will go Overseas.

No the Dem's have had a majority in congress not control for 2 years. You have to be able to break a filibuster to have control, takes a minimum of 60 assured votes, which the Republicans has for 6 years before that.
That was part of the problem. Bush had a Rep controlled congress and they made up the rules as they went along with no one to stop them.
Skybow: Oh yea corruption is certainly bipartisan, no halo's being handed out that I can see.
However like Hugz said apparently the Rep's have been far more successful at voter fraud and suppression for the last 8 years. There has been lots of scandal about that.
That's why I find it funny that all the Rep focus is on Acorn and everyone is so Shocked and Appalled, time to round up the usual suspects? Acorn is not voter fraud, Switching votes after they've been cast and disenfranchising voters is.
You're right, it's registration fraud. A felony, I do believe.
Go to Gary Indiana. You'll see an art in progress Nov 4th. They don't turn in their votes until they see how many are needed to beat "down state."

Those were just a sample of the many I don't feel sorry for, how about the bankers and the mortgage holders too. Honestly the underfunding of programs right now is critical and hasn't been revealed to us how bad it is.
Ya think Bush is going to be fessing up anytime soon?
