I'm going as V (from the movie V for Vendetta). I sewed the black cape myself. With our election upon us, the movie's rhyme "remember, remember, the 5th of November" will be loaded with significance.
Here are some ideas for costumes if you can't think of any:
1. Dress up in an all-black cowgirl costume, and go as the Wicked Witch of the Old West.
2. Dress in a black abaya and a really awful old lady mask, and go as the Wicked Witch of the Middle East.
3. If you're a man who doesn't want to go overboard on a costume, just put on your shirt, slacks, and your tie, then put a paper sack with 2 eye holes in it over your head, and tell people you're a McCain/GOP supporter.
(do not try this in a red state, however)
