Im reading a profile & i liking it when i look at the age group the man is looking for 18 to 50 & this guy is 47 i feel uncomfortable when i see that specially when these guys have daughters of that age.. Lifestages are completely out of sync with such a huge age gap, what u think?
After the age of 25 or so... I don´t have a problem with large differences in age... people have spent some time being responsible for themselves and I think are pretty much the person they are going to be... but the ages of 18 to 25 a person does so much growing and changing... are still quite vulnerable and yes, I would have a problem with an older man looking to hook up with someone in that age group.
I also find it strange, that a man that old would date a 17- 23 year old girl. I know they are considered adults, but what in the world would a man over 30, have in common with a girl that young? What do they talk about?
I guess it's none of my business, but i do find it uncomfortably unorthodox too.
I personally would date a man around 44, despite the different mental inclinations, brought about by experiences.
I just think it´s pathetic. I thought it was pathetic back when I was 18, I think it´s pathetic now I´m 34, and I will probably think it´s pathetic when I´m 80.
I remember when a girlfriend´s parents got divorced and I was 19 or 20. Her dad all of a sudden started wearing clothes that didn´t befit him, talking slang he didn´t exactly know the meaning of, and try to mingle in with her friends. It was ridiculous, she knew it, everyone felt uncomfortable and she was so embarassed and ashamed she stopped hanging out for MONTHS.
I was completely grossed by his behavior, as I am of drunks´, and I don´t think he ever realized how totally ridiculous he was. Oh and my parents were friends with this couple too, and they too thought it was ridiculous.
I guess a man is just as mature as the woman he´s with...

A 50year old man looking for a 18year old girl .... must be going through the male menopause...or just daft in the head, but some ladies do the same......also daft in the head..

lusciousmile: All true!
Me and my sisters walk with our mouths agape, because the malls here are flooded by old men with their really young foreign (mainly thai) girlfriends.
Mind you, these girls don't speak english or finnish. I know several of them who are married. One woman, now a little older than me, told me she first met her now husband, when she was 17, in Thailand. She now speaks a little english and good finnish, but didn't when they first met. She now has two kids and isn't happy at all!!!!I am old enough to make such mistakes ( i guess), which is why i find it sad when a girl much younger than me, gets herself into a life she might regret later. It's really sad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Moema: Oh that´s right. With Unions, laws and all. Let´s not offend the Ladies.
Sweetie, you're from Brazil, and i'm sure you know it happens there too. Do you really blame these young girls for trying to survive? They are kids! What do they know?

They know, trust me. Don't say they are being abused...because it's a way for survival.

As long if she's mentally and emotionally mature i don't see problems with that...btw. what 40 year old woman wouldn't love to have a 18 year old stud?

I have 18-99 on mine! It is hard to draw a line because each person is different and one year outside your line......maybe. The same is true for many other things.....one inch too tall....?.....wrong size....etc....any line excludes someone and may offend.....so....leave them wide open and handle each one as they come.
As far as age for me.....there is too young and I will not pursue them because it is best for them. I will be a father/friend to them and try to help.....but I will not be a lover. Some guys and women feel that anything legal if fair game.....I am not that way and I don't find it right!
