A currant is a deep burgundy/reddish berry used in mincemeat pie filling, similar to a raisin in taste when dried. You'll see them a lot at this time of year, along with the cranberries.
Anyway...no, I have no lies in my profile...what you see there is a good portion of who I am and what I'm looking for because I don't believe in lying.
Have I seen it online in others' profiles? Yes. Hence why I'm still single!
Kevint: Oh the lies and deceit that abounds the dating sites, and for what, to create a meeting that when it takes place just destroys any trust that had been built up.
I have meet women who say 48 but are 58, slightly over weight, no very large comes to mind, the ones who state "Kind and caring" but spend the entire first date talking about the vindictive revenge carried out on their ex, the two timers, money seekers, those just wanting an ego boost, I think I have a real talent for finding them I have no problem with age size etc, but I do have a problem with lies. But, ther are the exceptions, the ones who are honest and just as their profile says, so we keep looking and trust that the next is just one of those.
jbibiza: When I first started on here... I lied about my age by 5 years, and it was all about the search criteria, didn´t want some 45 year old writing me off because I was 48, and I didn´t want someone who was looking for a sedate settled woman who didn´t have an active and adventurous lifestyle.
Of course the first thing I did when someone contacted me was tell them my real age... and I got tired of explaining... no one seemed to have a problem with it, but I changed it to my real age... I don´t like lies and if someone can´t see beyond the number... they probably wouldn´t suit me anyway.
BINGO! a relationship thats starts in a fake world is going to end in the real world. It's going to get real at some point, and isin't that the point?
Several years ago I met a man from a different site....his profile had said 45....after meeting him & spending the evening with him he fessed up that he was actually 50. Although he explained it was for the same age cut off reason, it did make me wonder about what else he might "fudge" on.
Everything on my profile is accurate....although I could probably get away with putting my age about 10 years younger.
I have seen men on here & other sites who look 10-20 years older than their stated age too.
