Besides the most "obvious"...

What signs "convinced" you that you were in the right relationship for you...

What "convinced" you that you were in the wrong relationship...

As I said, there are the usual and obvious "red flags"...but were there other little things that perhaps no one else would have noticed but your instinct "convinced" you that it was a right/wrong relationship?

Hey Girl

great post.....BUT I must admit that any signs I THOUGHT were the right ones, WERE NOT!

obvious to the fact, cause I am still single...

but the signs I do look for? kindness, compassion, humor, the way he makes me feel when we are together (butterflies, the soul-chills) the way he kisses, and a HOME PHONE NUMBER!

grin

Of course...the "home" phone number goes a long way.....,laugh

Its just that i've been listening to my little sister talk about her new relationship...and wondering...though things may seem "perfect" on the surface...its all those little "un-noticeables" (because they have a plausible excuse) that should be convincing her....

wave Hmmmm...good post. Listening to and trusting in and acting on my gut instinct....I have learned; looking back; that if I had, life would have been different - so now I do; and life is. It is right. Yes, there are the flutterbies, but it really isn't the frantic "I need" craziness; it is a laid back, relaxed, see you at the end of the day, laughter and exploration and passion....a connection on a different level that is hard to explain and very private and personal. The difference? Perhaps the time taken and the patience involved in really getting to know one another and the ability to communicate that we have - it is real.

The "wrong" relationship - I knew and was in denial, I know and have moved on - it is the past, where is belongs. Did I learn? Hell yeah....alot about others; and more about myself. The reality is, regardless of the unhealthiness and craziness of the past, when you have children together, there is always that connection on some level - so it is best to put it all where it belongs, for your own sanity. angel

confused dunno

I really don't think I have a flipping clue what I am talking about and am starting to think that my "instinct" could be hell bent on leading me to places I don't ever want to be again sigh
